JPP, Giants not close to a deal

I would rather CJ take a pay cut and stay over JPP any day.  CJ has always been good against the run.  JPP is a better pass rusher, but he wasn't great against the run before his hand injury.  I'm hard pressed to believe anyone will give him a long-term contract.  Way too much risk.  You saw first hand during our game his inability to wrap up.  Pressuring the QB is cool and all, but if you can't get him to the ground it's all wasted against good QB's like Wilson, Rodgers, Newton, etc. that can get away and make you pay.  I would be cool with a $8M one-year deal, but still rather have CJ.  CJ isn't washed up, just not worth $15M.  CJ at $8M is a much better investment in IMO than JPP at $8M.  CJ is only a couple of years older than JPP.  People act like he is as old as Peppers.

There is speculation that CJ will not take a paycut. He has made comments before about not doing it in the past. That is the problem. CJ takes a cut and I would be thrilled.

and I don't want JPP

We need a vet DE but he's at the bottom of my list.

Look how skinny his right bicep is now by comparison.  You simply can't train or play like a premier player without a hand.

This is why i think he will have to take less money this next year. Teams need to know he can produce. Once he came back he was very good at getting pressure but not sacks. He will probably need to take a prove it type deal. Either way if we landed him it would be great.

I don't know, I have seen some teams do some really dumb things in the past.  I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see the Cowboys sign him.

Same, Gregory being the dumbass we all figured, and Hardy being the dumbass that he is....wouldn't be shocked to see them sign Williams or JPP.
