How Long did it take y'all to watch the Super Bowl again?

I finally got up the nerve to watch the DVR of the Super Bowl and I'll be honest. I only made it through the third quarter before I got mad all over again.

I came away with three things. I can't stand Aqib Talib although he did get burned a lot. As good as Denver played (on defense) we beat ourselves. Finally our Defense was the best on the field that night. Just my opinions.

How long did it take y'all to watch again and now that we've all calmed down some what were some takeaways like Denver's defense being one of the best all time?

I deleted it the moment the SB was over. I don't exactly remember it, but my wife told me that once the game ended, I just went to our bedroom and laid down. We had a ton of people over and I just went to bed immediately. I'll probably approach this like our other super bowl, by pretending it never happened.

I watched and dissected the game once about a week later, I can't say I took much from it.

I'm sure I'll watch it again. I'm not sure why many want to bury it as if it never happened, we had a great run. Embrace it.

I think most people are burying it because it needs to be haha. I mean, we had a dream season, only to crap the bed at the very end. I know for some people that doesn't take away from how great the season was, but for a lot of people, me included, to see the team exceed expectations and do it their way only to fall flat on their face and just be embarrassed on national TV.

Honestly, I wish I could approach it more pragmatically, like you. But this just hurts haha. I don't even have a real life experience to compare it to. To be so happy and elated and excited for something you didn't think you'd see only to have it ripped away at the very end.

Man, I need a drink.

I watched it the very next day.

My gf thinks I'm some weird sadist, but there's a method to my madness.  I hosted a SB party of around 50-60 people and though I watched the game, I woke up the next day... hungover and questioned how the hell we lost the way we did.

I wanted to go back and break down where and what we did wrong.  Where were the weaknesses and how the hell did our offense look so awful and also all of the missed calls.

It was a depressing Monday to say the least, and I deleted it with after the last Newton strip fumble.

Haha oh believe me man it HURT, badly.  I think now that I understand the rarity that is the playoffs for many organizations I am able to embrace us getting that far.  Of course it stings just from the simple fact that you're one game away....and now we're back to Draft, TC, Preseason, etc... just for the CHANCE to get back.

I just want to remember the good times, (it helps me cope that I feel that the Broncos got a bit of assistance.)

I watched it until the bitter end, realizing that we weren't celebrating our Super Bowl that night because the team had been celebrating their championship each time they did "team pictures" in the fourth quarter of the last couple of regular season games, and because they had already dumped the GatorAde on Rivera after securing the NFC Championship. They'd crowned themselves, strutted with the confidence of champions, had feasted at the great table before that game ever started.

So I watched every sad and degrading moment of the Superb Owl as it happened, like watching your favorite dog run out into heavy traffic ... startled, saddened, sickened and then devastated. They never knew what him them and they just laid there yelping for a few moments.

I can't make myself watch that again. Hopefully they'll recover and handle themselves more wisely next time, hopefully won't just watch them sit on the porch and not hunt for a dozen years. Again.
