hes very good at pass pro. the big question is his hands coming out of the back field. he wasn't tasked with it much at all.

This, actuall recall someone mentioning he was possibly the best RB in pass protection to come out in a while

We won't find out until Henry is a real threat to be our first round pick until later. Thank goodness that G-man is making the decision as opposed to Huddlers.

As for all the talk about him being a bust, meh.

The difference between him and Gurley is that Henry may actually be there when we pick (maybe). Gurley was more of a pipe dream.

Yes, I do believe there is something to be gleaned from Panthers.com, but the workouts and visits will tell the story for Henry or anyone else seriously being considered.

Basically, he is someone to talk about (for good reason), as will be a few others in reference to that first (and possibly second) round pick.

Henry is the perfect rb for us.

Is that so?

Does he have the patience to sit there with the ball in his belly while Cam reads the DE?  After Cam leaves the ball with him, does he have the vision to find the hole that develops (not the hole he was told was going to be there like at Bama)?  Does he have the agility to plant his foot and make the cut into that hole, wherever it might develop (not run straight to the hole that he was told would be there like at Bama)?

So far at the combine, his power and burst numbers are off the charts.  His agility numbers are not.

Dude has small hands at 8 3/4 inches, Henry has little baby hands.

When I first saw him run, I noticed that and was thinking he is a fumble waiting to happen.

Stew doesn't have very big hands but he's strong enough to cradle the ball with both arms/hands that it hasn't plagued him.

3-steps and a cloud of dust though is still appealing.

Bama drills in high and tight to their RBs better than anyone. His hands don't really worry me. The slow agility drills and the real lack of fluidity cutting in the drills are far bigger concerns.

I did really enjoy seeing his 40 simulcasts. It really confirms that he takes a bit to get going but once he gets going he can move. He was always a step behind in the first 10-20 yards then made it up at the end. He can truck NFL defenders if he gets a chance to get moving.

his 40 is deceiving as his 10 yd split is not all that fast, combining that with his upright running, and I fear that he will never build up that head of steam which would make teams fear him.  he could be bottled up fairly easily in the NFL is what I am thinking

I still think he's a standout amongst the rest of the field.

You can't argue about his size. He can take on LBs and win the battle.

Id take him if he's still there and all the good DEs and S/CBs that grade-out near our pick are gone. I just don't have much confidence in CAP to be a feature-back, if and when he gets the chance.

He actually has pretty good vision better than any if the other Bama RB's

Someone mentioned his blockingredients as being bad?  Not sure how much you have watched him but it has been noted by all the networks/scouts/analyst that he was the best pass blocking back in the nation and one of the best in that category to come out in awhile

That being said I wouldn't draft him at 30.  If we could get him in the 2nd of course.   My biggest downside to him is he runs high,  but so did Yeldon and he wasn't to bad.  He is fast for his size but not quick, more of a long  strider.  Not being able to start and stop as fast is huge when trying to scoot through the hole.  His size is great for punishing linebackers and DB's.  But those holes close quicker in the pros and you need that quickness to get past the line while the holes there.
