Panthers Going After Derrick Henry in the Draft?? Please let It Be So

In the time between now and the draft, the Panthers will talk about a lot of players on their website and social media. They do every offseason.

Assuming that it means they're "targeting" whomever they're talking about would be a mistake.

I posted on this forum at the time that Gurley was the best football player in the draft. I don't feel that way about Henry.

Just wait until the Panthers start meeting with players and we find out their names. Fans will start to think we're going to draft them as well. It's the same cycle every season.

How is his blocking ability?  I've never seen him play. Just figured with his size, he would be decent.

I wouldn't mind drafting him. The thing I'd be most worried about is how he'd fit into a crowded backfield with Stewart , CAP, Fozzy, and Tolbert already there. For some reason I can't imagine him splitting a bunch of carries with multiple other backs. At the very least he'd have to start by spelling Stewart since JStew has been proven to be a very good for us already.

I actually remember a lot being said about Shaq Thompson before the draft by Thomas Davis and the Panthers just can not remember the sources or whether it was social media or not.

hes very good at pass pro. the big question is his hands coming out of the back field. he wasn't tasked with it much at all.

We probably have to cut Stew if you draft Henry in the 1st round which I have a hard time seeing us doing.
