Copa America Centenario

So I was looking at the bracket.  A win mean we probably get Ecuador in the quarters in Seattle.  Should Ecuador beat Haiti and Peru/Brazil end in a draw then all three will have five points.  Brazil will take first on GD and Ecuador would at worse tie Peru in this category.  Only way Peru wins a tiebreaker at that point is if Ecuador won 1-0 and then they draw lots.

An Ecuador loss/tie would mean we get Peru if they lose/tie and only get Brazil if Peru should win.

If Colombia comes back to take the group then we get Brazil should they win/tie (unless they tie and Ecuador wins by 7+) and we play Peru if Peru wins.

That Ecuador goal that was incorrectly disallowed against Brazil looms large in that group at the moment.

Looking farther ahead to the portions of the tournament that the US does not belong, winning the group and the next match likely means a loss to Argentina in the semis while finishing second and winning the next match would likely mean a date with the Mexico-Chile winner.

There is another potential winner in this, aside from the ovious Costa Rica and USA, and that is Argentina.  The way things are shaping up it is likely that Colombia-Brazil and Mexico-Chile will be on one wide of the bracket while Argentina will likely get Venezuela and the winner of USA-Ecuador/Peru.
