This was inevitable but they will still have to pay for replacements and DEs aren't cheap.

The draft holds about 6 DEs that are perfect fits for the 4-3 hybrid zone defense the Panthers run. I would not be surprised to see 2 DEs drafted this year.

Big Money's too big now in terms of cap room. He wants another good shot at a ring, he knows what to do. Otherwise, I'm afraid we might be seeing another termination letter posted all over social media.

Several of the Panthers players despise the Panthers management. Some refuse to be in the same room with Gettleman if they are given the choice. I am sure we will hear about it when each one of them are released/retire over the years.

The players couldn't get enough of Marty Hurney, especially when it came to negotiating contracts.

That is one of the big reasons why Marty is no longer employed by the Panthers.

If your players love you as a GM you are likely doing something wrong.

Where'd you hear this about the players vs management story?

Wow this could be it for CJ. If I were him I'd refuse to take the pay cut, be cut, and then retire. He has more money than he will ever spend, and why suffer through another season of football for a lot less money that you don't even need.

He's in the restaurant business now.  Been a lot of rich people go broke in that industry.

He'll get cut go to atl and be relevant 2 times next year.

It's a business his performance hasn't justified his paycheck.  Hell he had 2 sacks all year. For 15 million I'd like a little more production for my buck

Appreciate everything you did here.   But just like Dlo he has enjoyed the good life a little too much, get back in shape  and good luck wherever next year

I'm sure him and dlo will Twitter bash Carolina all next season.
