Varejao?

Reports say he will be waived by Portland.  He used to be a really good all-around player prior to his achilles injury, but admittedly, i haven't watched him much since he came back from it.  I'm guessing he hasn't been as good, but do you think he's worth a look?  Any big that can give us productive minutes and take some away from Al and Hawes, I'm all for it.

Not a bad idea, but we already have a logjam in the frontcourt. If you put him in, you're taking away minutes from Cody and Frank at the 5 (in certain matchups.)

IMO we bring in a 3rd point guard so Lin doesn't get burnt out playing the 1 and 2.

Yeah, and knowing Clifford, he won't ok signing a guy to take mins away from vets who have been here.

Varejao doesn't bring what the team needs.. rather look at another scoring guard or 3pt wing

I very much dislike Varejao. He's made a whole career off shying away from contact and flopping when he feels anything. At this point in his career he's also not very good, we should stick with what we got in the front court.
