Thomas Davis' Acceptance of Bart Starr Award

I didn't see this posted anywhere and I was touched by his speech. As always he's humble, appreciative and emotional and those are also the qualities that make him such an outstanding player and man.

TD is my favorite Panther of all time and we're going to look into working with his foundation to serve the less fortunate in our community. He is a man I want my son's to know, recognize and emulate. He represents all that is great about sports and is fully aware of his impact as a role model. He's one of my heroes and that's not a term I take lightly.

Here are two videos from the Super Bowl Breakfast. The first is his acceptance speech and the second is the entire breakfast and ceremony.

It's absolutely worth the watch and I hope you realize, if you haven't already, how special Thomas Davis to the Panthers and all those he serves.

I LOVE TD as a player and as a man & role model.

Haven't seen it reported, but he also won ANOTHER award this past week:  The Byron "Whizzer" White man of the year award - another award voted on by players

Should...

Should we tell them?

Fun fact: decades after his football career was over, Byron "Whizzer" White was appointed to the Supreme Court.
