Giants will let CB Prince Amukamara test free agency

Even assuming we tag Josh, we're very thin at CB, and it's a priority position for us this offseason, I think.  

I wasted too much time tonight playing around with mock drafts at fanspeak.... (the first time I've ever done any mock drafts, but also the last chance I'll have to do that for a few weeks.  I have heavy travel schedule / limited internet access from next week - March 20th...)

I wasn't seeing a lot of good CBs available for us to pick in our position.  A lot of those who might have been available late in any round are very short (5'8 / 5'9) and don't seem like great fits.  In 6 mock drafts (using 6 different boards) I only was able to get a promising CB in 1 of the 6.  (The free version of the site I was on didn't allow for trading up..., so obviously, real life could be different).

I think we need to shore up this position somehow in free agency.  Amukamara sounds a bit pricey for us, but my interest in him has risen seeing that the draft could be thin for us at good corners.

Exactly. We are very thin at CB with Norman the only sure thing. Like PhillyB said, we're not sure how Bene will be when he comes back. Finnegan and McClain were only for stop gaps last season and not for the future. Sticking a rookie out there as the #2 CB won't make matters any better. We got to find our gem in free agency.
