I do agree that I do hear Michael Jackson's voice in there.

Nobody is "the new michael jackson" and I hate when people say that. MJ could sing and dance like no other. The weeknd has one of the best voices around but you will never see him busting out full on choreographed moves while belting his ass off like MJ.

If Beiber could dance, he would be one of the closest artists to resemble MJ as far as having a huge career in his youth, going through some trouble, and now emerging as one of the biggest pop stars in the world with his new stuff.

Also, Kimbra is the closest thing I've experienced since MJ. Even though she's a girl, that chicks stage presence, song writing, and vocal range evoke memories of MJ like I've never had.

Very true. There will never be another MJ.

Justin Timberlake, while not even really trying to, became the modern equivalent of Michael Jackson a long time ago...

There are lots of singers that try to emulate MJ... The Weeknd being one of them.

I posted on The Weeknd a while back. One thing he has definitely mastered is hooking up with unique producers that pair well with his vocal styling. He also has a good hold on the "mystery" persona in that he comes across as low key and artistic while, at the same time, partying like crazy.
