We traded for Courtney Lee and poo

At this point in their careers Lee is better than PJ and will help us right now. Losing a solid emergency pg like Roberts sucks and we will have to sign someone to fill that void. All in all not a bad trade. If we manage to somehow get Howard the deal will look better. Kemba, Lee, Batum, Williams and Howard is a good starting 5.

Brian Roberts is quite possibly the most plain and boring NBA in recent history. PJ Hairston would probably lose a pickup game at the YMCA. Those 2 second round picks would've traded at some point either way. We basically traded 4 bags of poo for a half eaten bag of Doritos. In other words we didn't get much, but it's a hell of a lot better then we gave up.

Yeah Hairston is garbage. It's nice to be rid of him, and we got a rotational player out of it that we will probably be able to resign. It'll let Batum slide over to the 3 and hopefully mean less 2 PG lineups. 

As far as losing Roberts as 3rd PG goes, I guarantee we could sign someone from the D-League that's a younger, cheaper, at least as good version of him.

The worst thing that could've happened for PJ (other than him being himself) was getting drafted here and I echoed that on draft night.  If he had gone to a veteran team out west....he had a chance. Staying close to home, around the same people, never maturing?  Yep...he'll be out of the league in a year or so.

Courtney Lee for PJ is a steal for Charlotte. PJ has very little room for improvement. He barely hits open shots. 

Lee can hit open shots and is simply more reliable on offense. Even at 9 pts a game it is like 5 more points better than what PJ has done most of the season?
