I mentioned it in my original post lol.  Honestly the trend holds pretty firm througout NFL history.  A Superbowl run is physically and emotionally draining.  A team like the Seahawks that has been to the Superbowl two years in a row might be even more dangerous after getting an extra month off than they are accustomed to.

you know I can't read. I have people for that.

Losing multiple players among Irvin, Okung, Kearse, Mebane, Rubin, Lynch, et al will hurt a helluva lot worse than the extra month will help.  I have been spot on with that team for awhile now.  We shall see.

But none of those teams had Cam Newton and Luke Keuchly. That's a big difference when you have two all stars at QB and MLB(QB of defense) on both sides of the ball that can change the game and win.

Not only that but a GM that if anything set us up for the future even moreso than the present.

I don't know man, I still think they're the biggest threat to the Panthers in the NFC, along with the Packers who will be getting back their #1 receiver as well.  Both teams had down years by their standards and gave the Panthers some of their closest games this year.  If Seattle improves their O-Line, they will be hard to beat.  Panthers only beat them in the playoffs because we wrecked their porous line.

Their line is too wrecked for fixing without an inordinate and unreasonable amount of luck.  The only solution which could logically help the quality and quantity of their line problems would be player trades, which as we saw with Harvin and Graham have been disastrous and will haunt them years down the road while we've stockpiled young talent.

The Packers concern me more, and even they have something amiss there, chemistry and otherwise.

All those teams got picked apart by free agency. We made it to the super bowl without our #1 wr. We are guaranteed to improve with Kelvin back. Im not talking about record wise. Even though we already were #1 offense, Kelvin just makes us that more dangerous. Especially with the exp the other receivers received.

the problem is the team we most compare to there is NE and they have to be thrown out due to the Tom Brady injury

Furthermore, this isn't really news in the sense that It's fuging hard to make the Superbowl. 30/32 teams fail.

I do think we are in a great position to make it back, if not win the Superbowl. But it's impossible to predict what will happen.

Stats mean nothing.  If all 10 went on to win the Super Bowl the next year it wouldn't matter.  Its about the 2016-17 Carolina Panthers.  What are they going to do?  Those other 10 teams and what they did are 100% irrelevant to what we do.  If we win it all or not those other teams had no effect on our final outcome.  The goal is to win the Lombardi.  If we had just won the past 3 Super Bowls, it would be the same goal, to lift the Lombardi February of 2017.  That is all the boys are thinking about.  Winning the big game.  They have the motivation.   They have the talent and they are the dominant team in the NFC South so they have a great chance to make another post season appearance which gives them another chance at it next season if they win their division once again.  Which is what I fully expect, unless crazy stuff happens ala injuries to key players.  Keep pounding all offseason fellows.  Work hard and get ready for another run.  IMHO you were the best team this year, and picked a bad game to have a bad game.  You can be the best next year as well but with the trophy as evidence.
