Irrational & Realistic FA Wishlists

Think about Hardy this way: we got rid of SS because of locker room/team issues, but went to bat for Hardy when he was going through his criminal trial. That should tell you what the players think of Hardy. At least at that point in time; attitudes may be different now.

William Hayes, DE (RAMS)
Derrick Shelby, DE (DOLPHINS)
Patrick Robinson, CB (CHARGERS)
Jeremy Lane, CB (SEAHAWKS)
Akiem Hicks, DT (PATRIOTS)
Shelley Smith, C (TEXANS)
Rashad Johnson, S (CARDINALS)
Ladarius Green, TE (BRONCOS)

Solid list, Hayes and hicks would be good adds to the dline rotation

Here's my post from another thread:

Way too early wish list:

Rod Streater WR Oak- might be a bargain and a steal

Matt Forte RB Chi- chance to win a ring and will be able to split the workload with J-stew ; plus I just want him because every time he plays us he runs all over us

Eric Weddle S SD- pipe dream, but during Rivera's first year here there were rumors that we tried to sign him until he ulitmately re-signed with SD

William Moore S Atl- fits the mold perfectly of a Gettleman signing- division rival safety, see: Harper, DeCoud

Janoris Jenkins CB Stl- guy has all the talent in the world, probably a pipe dream

Malik Jackson DT Den- definitely not happening but iWant

Haloti Ngata DT Det- maybe not quite as far off as you think- Gettleman loves to rotate in veteran Hawg Mollies

Mark Barron LB/S - We were definitely targeting him before the Bucs (thank god) took him before us so we drafted Luke. Call me crazy but I think Ron could get the best out of this guy.

Dwayne Allen TE Ind- keep an eye out for a possible Dickson replacement

Brain Quick WR Stl- widely inconsistent and oft-injured but certainly talented - went to college at App st. could really benefit from stable QB play

Obviously we aren't going to sign this many people and Gettleman won't sign any of these guys, but its fun playing the Huddle version of Madden

I thought this would be a fun exercise: pick a few free agents you would without a doubt like to see on the Panthers.  You can be realistic or just type up some high paids you'd love to see.  I'm cool with either route.  Maybe even guess who you'd like then who you think is a guy we may get.

Here's a decent resource with minimal ads: http://www.scout.com/nfl/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&nid=83&lnid=83&yr=2016

I'm posing this because I think this is a really spotty class but also believe there's talent to be found, it's just about the where and the one's that may be overlooked at the moment.

On my end, I've got a few in mind that I like for us: David Bruton (S), Robert Ayers (DE), Marvin Jones (WR), & Mike Harris (OT/G)

What say you?

Eric Weddle (SS), William Hayes (DE)

I don't know why anybody would want mario williams, he has proven again and again that he only plays for the money.

Jerry Richardson would have to be long gone before Hardy would ever be considered.  Hardy can go fug himself.

Because he's better than every other DE on the roster (that will be here for sure next year) not named Kony Ealy.

You mean the same thing that almost every single NFL player plays for?

He wouldn't expected to be a world beater here, just a stop gap for a couple years while we find another DE.  Those just just don't grow on trees.

It looks like we are all concerned about WR, S, and DE. I would like some O line.. just dont know offense that well

No doubt, bringing in a T and a G that can push and compete with our current starters is a must.

Same to be said for our D-Line or any position. Penciling players in as starters is something losers do.

Imagine if KB, Star, Norwell, and Stewart were #2's and Remmers, Philly, Dickson, and Klein weren't good enough to make the cut! Sounds like improvement to me
