Peyton Manning's Sexual Assault Case

There goes the media protecting Peyton Manning again.

This asshole read the article TWICE and the only thing that stuck out to him was that the writer referenced Cam in the story? Really? The only reason Cam was mentioned in the article was to point out that there is a double standard when it comes to how Cam and Peyton are covered in the media.

I also love how he points out that the story isn't new like that changes the fact that Peyton Manning sexually assaulted this woman. DUH! We know it's not new, but the media swept this story under the rug to protect him.

I would like to elaborate on this issue a little more.

The problem is on both sides. People of every race, creed, sex, etc., need to do a bit of self questioning in regards to perception and expectation.

Fortunately, being in a position to play societal lawyer for Cam on the lowest of levels has been an eye opening experience

Yes I agree.  For me too and honestly it took a lot of joy of getting to the Super bowl away from me and other fans   Bad enough to lose but to then spend a week listening to everyone and their opinions on Newton

one point with cam newton and I lay this at the Panthers PR Dept and Rivera

part of the 110 million as face of the franchise is dealing with the press. The Panthers organization clearly knows how Newton is after losses and as best I can tell, they did absolutely nothing to prepare him and protect him from what they absolutely should have known would have happened

they did nothing. They did not limit the questions. They didn't limit the time. They didn't give Newton time to get himself ready. All things that a seasoned PR dept would do

it was not just Newton who was unprepared for the glare of the big time spot light of the Super bowl

Did the woman ask for it? No? Then it's the same damn thing. It affected her so much she reported it as sexual assault immediately. She also lost her job years later when he spoke on it after breaching confidentiality agreement. Peyton and his team actually begged her to blame it on a black player. Every single person interviewed who were involved have said Peyton was lying, except Peyton.

The dismissal is disgusting. I hope you don't have a daughter, and if you do, you better pray someone doesn't put their dick on her head as a "prank" so you don't have to tell her that the trauma she feels is wrong.

"Did the woman ask for it? No? Then it's the same damn thing."

No, it literally is not. It is literally not rape by the definition. The woman never alleged that Peyton tried to shove his dick or balls in her mouth. Sounds like sexual assault to me which is what it sounded like to everyone else at the time. Degrees of crimes matter.

People do stupid stuff when they're 20. Peyton should have been charged with something. But if you're trying to get me to look at Peyton the person today like he's a monster because of what he did 20 years ago, I simply can't.

Stupid stuff ?  For real?  If it were your Mother, or your sister, or daughter?  Would you still call it 'stupid stuff'?

20 years old is plenty old enough to know you do not place your genitals on someone's face, male or female and no, I don't think he is a great person because he didn't own it and didn't apologize for it. He tried to cover it up. Who knows what else he has done.

1. Was never charged

2. Happened 20 years ago. That's so long ago that the Cowboys had just won a meaningful game the month before (Super Bowl XXX). That's so long ago Ericsson Stadium hadn't even opened yet. That's so long ago Cam Newton was 6 years old.

This is an absolute non-story.

The story is the coverup. Focus.

Rubbing your junk on someone's face is not good, but it sure ain't rape.

Lol. Not an attorney, huh...

Jesus. Folks always crying about the "race card." Yet you got Manning, who I absolutely respect and like: 1. letting it be known that she sleeps with a lot of black guys (as if the adjective "black" is really necessary but I guess when you are in the South it makes all the difference) and 2. trying to get her to blame it on a black teammate of Manning.

But don't worry...I am sure the Huddle will explain to us all how only blacks use the "race card" to their advantage.

Kind of sad that people here are butt hurt enough to post ancient articles dragging Manning through the mud. Its the same thing fans of other teams do to Cam. Aren't we better than that?

It's less butthurt and more holy poo look at what a bunch of scumbags the manning family is bc they dragged this poor girl thru the mud in an attempt to ruin her reputation. also buying a stolen laptop =/= sexual assault

I heard that it's okay to place one's balls on the face of a woman,  even if it's a random woman that does not want you to do it.               It's not rape,   so it's okay.

Can you imagine if the law worked like that?  lol.

We'd probably see some stupid poo like this -

"The guy rubbed his dick all over the woman,  but since it didn't enter her vagina,  bum or mouth,  it is okay,  because it wasn't rape".
