A little change of pace...

Okay someone help me out here... outside of the Eagles and Arizona games obviously, I have to go back to 2006 with the monday night eagles game and the bengals game to remember a game Jake has lost for us. And before that, he was more consistent and won many close games for us. He even did it a few times last year. I just have a hard time believing there will be 3 to 5 more losses this season that can be put on Jake.

I hate to break it to you but the secrets out on how to stop this team. Load 8 in the box stuff run step 1. Bring pressure up the gut and get Jake flustered and you get a highlight reel all game on D. Have you looked at the D's we face this year? Mark my words if he starts all year it will happen.

As you said with Moore and D-will. If we know what teams will do then we should gameplan to counter that and run plays to beat that defense. For example if they blitz up the middle that leaves huge holes for the tight end and slot receiver to exploit the middle on quick slants. If they put eight in the box and blitz, we roll away from pressure and throw down the seam or run wide since the linebackers will be sucked inside. Teams stop doing something when they find it doesn't work. If they find a strategy that does they keep it up until you stop it. That is why we were outplayed and outcoached. If atlanta does as you suggest and we don't exploit it, it will be as much a coaching problem again as it will be the players.

They don't have to get pressure up the middle, that's just what we gave up against the Eagles. It doesn't really matter where the pressure comes from all you have to do is get this guy rattle and he comes unglued. Like many have said and shown proof a most of Jake's INTs against the Eagles Jake had good protection.

Jake ability to read the defense during the past two games has been horrible.

He has been unable to find the open man when they blitz. If they are throwing 7-8 guys in box someone is gonna be open in the middle of the field. (saw it in NE/Buf game)

They also need to stop with Smitty in motion its a give away hes getting the ball.

Seriously those of you who hold to that have no idea what you are talking about. You can't look at one pass play where you beleive he had time and use that to justify a claim he had no pressure. It is the cumulative pressure you bring that eventualy wears on a team or quarterback. If you get hit and sacked repeatedly you hear footsteps and see pressure even when it isn't there. Every quarterback feel it including Brady against New York for example.

Anyone who doesn't know that has never played a sport at any kind of competitive level or they would know better.

Do you have any idea why they put a man in motion or in the slot? It is to get a better matchup because you plan to throw the ball to him. It isn't a give away it is a strategy.

Anyone think that when Arizona put Fitz in the slot against it, we didn't know they were going to throw it to him? Doesn't mean that it won't work. Football is about matchups as much or more than strategy.

Go look on Panthers.com, I read they have a football 101 class.

Yeah,,,big difference between us and Arizona....JAKE.

Unlike Jake, Warner could throw to a number of people...with Jake its a dead give away.

Jake zoned in on Steve like deer in headlights on those plays.

Just like you made another "I am a stupid whiny crybaby" who acts like I know football but doesn't have a clue. If you don't want a comment stop making such naive arguments.
