No hard number on the cap. But last report was between 151 and 155 in December.

Correct. We won't know the official 2016 salary cap until, I think, the beginning of the league year in March, but the NFL did release a projection of $151-155M at the last owner's meetings. Typically that projection is ultra conservative so teams can start planning around a number without risk of going over. It usually ends up above the top of the range that's given. It could be as high as $160M.

I hate it but it's a business. Really liked Cotch but he didn't do us any favors in the SB. For a veteran he looked like a deer in the headlights.

Harper I ain't never been a fan. In space he's all but useless.  And why the hell they ever used him to blitz is beyond me. He was so slow he usually never made it into the backfield on a blitz.

Appreciate all they did but time to add some speed.

I love how our fan base dumps on people the moment they're released.

Harper wasn't as bad as many would have u believe. He was still a starter in the NFL even at his old age. Great veteran leadership as well.

Cotchery earned his money mentoring our young wideouts. He lost us that game if u ask me. Burnt Von Miller in the sideline, and just dropped the ball inside the 5 in a 13-7 game. I won't count the challenge play against him, because in my eyes that will always be a catch, but if his punk ass didn't bobble it initially then it wouldn't have happened.

Ron and Dave knew this was coming, which is why they were so stern and adamant that the locker room would never be the same!

Sad that we couldn't finish, but let's not throw guys that were literally " " that close to being Super Bowl champs.

We're classier than that

Amen

It's intentional and planned. Basically we had 2M in extra cap space over the previous 2 season (when we were really cap screwed) and shifted the cap charge into this year, when we will have much much more space to work with.

Makes sense. We have KB coming back to fill a starter WR role. Boston is more than capable of filling the starting FS role.
