No, he hates the Chargers and has said he will only play for a contender next year. The disagreement last year is because he felt he deserved an extension after being a faithful servant for 8 years and not having to go into a year without knowing his future and it was disrespectful of the Chargers to not even offer him anything. The Chargers offered him nothing. It was never about getting a big payday. He just wanted security.

To add onto this, the divorce became official when the Chargers fines Weddle $10,000 for watching his daughter perform during halftime. I think both personality and skill wise he'd be a perfect fit and he's got the Rivera connection.

The Harper thing may have more to do with Boston's play than anything.   I think it's just age for both.

It has nothing to do with that. We signed him to a 2 year deal that had 3 dummy years on the back end that void 4 days after the Super Bowl in order to spread out his signing bonus so that his cap hits in 2014 and 2015 were lower then we eat the rest in 2016 when our cap situation was better. We did the exact same thing with Cotchery. We did not cut them. Their contracts "expired."

I love how our fan base dumps on people the moment they're released.

Harper wasn't as bad as many would have u believe. He was still a starter in the NFL even at his old age. Great veteran leadership as well.

Cotchery earned his money mentoring our young wideouts. He lost us that game if u ask me. Burnt Von Miller in the sideline, and just dropped the ball inside the 5 in a 13-7 game. I won't count the challenge play against him, because in my eyes that will always be a catch, but if his punk ass didn't bobble it initially then it wouldn't have happened.

Ron and Dave knew this was coming, which is why they were so stern and adamant that the locker room would never be the same!

Sad that we couldn't finish, but let's not throw guys that were literally " " that close to being Super Bowl champs.

We're classier than that

In the same post you're telling people not to throw people under the bus you're calling Cotchery a punk ass and saying he lost the game for us..

He is and he did, those are facts. Neither of them are washed up, but Cotchery definitely had a hell of a lot more to do with us losing that game than Harper had on us losing any game this year.

OK I see you still are in the grieving process, that or you are completely irrational. Cotchery brought a lot to this team with his veteran presence, many of the players have said that. After you're done picking and choosing different plays to claim that's why we lost I hope you'll show at least a little respect for someone who contributed to this great season.

Do you walk down the street helping old women cross the road only to get them to the other side and dump them on their ass? Troll harder. Done.

I would rather try to get Alshon Jeffery at maybe a slight hometown discount to make it work.  When that contract is up, KB's would be up and we could make a decision.    I could see Boldin coming in though, I actually thought we should have traded for him this season, send a 6/7 for him.  I think he would have been helpful.

Allen, CJ and possible Stewart and this team is close to $45 mil under the cap.... Kawaan Short come on down!

Pretty sure Stewart's not going anywhere this year unless a GREAT opportunity falls in our laps... Yes, a lot of us have some concerns about his durability, but I think he's low on the cut list.
