Bill Voth: "Panthers Are Allowing Cam To Look Like A Baby."

Cam doesn't owe Voth anything. Just another self-entitled reporter looking for his 15 minutes.

Here's a clue, Voth, don't anger your main audience.

it's also not a good idea to piss off the guys you need to talk to so that you can pay your bills.

the way voth is going he's not just going to be public enemy #1 in the base you get most of your clicks from, but to the team you hitched your wagon to.

i mean it's just not a good look.

and yes, i'm going to keep driving that into the ground.

maybe i'm stupid or missing something here but it seems like all the calls for cam to "man up" or "act more mature" basically equate to "look good to the media".

the front office, coaching staff, his teammates, and the fans are sure as hell still behind him so i'm sort of lost as to what functional purpose reciting "mature" canned responses in a suit at a postgame presser accomplishes other than that.

So...when is okay to not be baby? 30?40? Maybe never. Exactly what this country is becoming a bunch of whiny babies. Take care of me, excuse me, no responsibility left and I've been reading the crap for years watching it get worse and worse. No accountability for our actions.

Nice world you have created.

We're talking about a game bruh, please don't make it deeper than what it is. I can guarantee you there were some grown men that shed a tear after that loss, hell I almost did. I like the look of Cam being pissed off after the loss because that's exactly how I felt.

Does anyone also think that Cam might have been trying to kick the ball out of the scrum on the fumble to try and recover it?  Every replay, every angle, looks like he was about to kick it but pulled up last minute.   Ive watched it numerous times and still come to the same conclusion.

It just doesn't seem in his character to not atleast try to make a play, and just sit there and watch.  Am I the only one that thinks this?

I'm on the "Voth is a POS" bandwagon.          I'm not giving the guy anymore clicks.

He wants so bad for the team and other Panthers players to turn against Cam,  so he can really drive his point home,  of just how horrible a human being Cam is..          Since the team and his teammates are backing Cam though,  all he can do is whine about Cam looking like a baby.

Moreso he is just reverting back to who he always was honestly. He all but led the anti Newton wagon in 2011.

he used to rant about cam the fake kid with the discipline problems AND the nerve of them there gays back in the day, but then came off cam newton and even posted a heartfelt note in the tinderbox about seeing things from a more empathetic light and really gave me hope, but i guess between echoing the titans mom after that game and posting anti-gay propaganda on other teams' message boards we can write him off the good guy list

we aren't removed enough from our european heritage that teaches us to "keep a stiff upper lip" and act like nothing phases us, good or bad. it teaches us that emotion is bad and showing it is doubly bad, esp. if it's negative emotion. emotion makes you weak and/or immature and showing it makes you look it.

i think that emotion can be bad if it rules you and does nothing to make you a better, stronger person.

what we have seen from cam is that he is a very strong emotional person. and i'm emphasizing strong on purpose. he's an incredibly strong and focused individual....no one can deny that. he's also prone to very strong emotions either way.

what is interesting to me is the effect that his emotions have. when he's up and pumped, it's infectious. the thing that initially drew me to him while watching him in the oron bowl while he was at auburn wasn't just the incredible talent he had. it was the very visible effect he had on his teammates (because they talked about his lockerroom speech at half time that resulted in their comeback win) but the effect he had on the crowd as a cheer leader. he got that stadium rocking. HE got that stadium rocking.

the other side of that is the effect his more negative emotions have. sure, it can have an effect on those around him and that isn't so good, but with that said, i think it has an incredibly positive effect on him. first, look at what brings him down and makes him "sulk" or turn into "mr. mopeyhead" or whatever.....failure. not meeting his goals. not living up to the expectations that HE had for himself. not anyone else's expectation, but his. he hates that. he doesn't accept it and it drives him on to greatness. it's his fuel.

you want the effect that his positive emotions can have on things? then you have to deal with the negative emotional part that helps him get there.

we are all built and wired differently and there isn't one right or wrong way to respond to stimuli. i mean lines can be drawn where it hurts other people, but aside from some press people missing a predictable and canned answer they were hoping for so they can seem legit, he hasn't hurt anyone.

what this deal with cam is teaching us is it's alright to be different. the problem is that many are reluctant to learn. people aren't as tolerant of others as they thought they were.

Thought this was all about Voth, at first. Why I should read posts in chronological order.
