Is WFNZ in trouble?

I think most hosts ARE Panthers fans now. They all are on The Mac Attack, Colin is on The Call Up (Nate isn't and neither is Nata I think), Garcia is of course on Bustin' Loose (Mark Yarboro is a Redskins fan, but he's not annoying about it like Nate is), and Kroeger is a Panthers fan. It's way better than it used to be.

I stream it sometimes here in Raleigh, but dont know everyone's names, maybe u guys can help me out.

I like the early morning guys, but the guys on 10-12 today I just had to turn it off.  I think one of the guys is a Patriots fan

I think they are the best slot all day. They do very little to no bs

WFNZ is pretty lame for many reasons.

Mac is OK at best, everything else is pretty much garbage.  I used to listen when I lived in CLT, and even spent a couple years streaming it.

I will occasionally stream it if there is a big game or something happened, but I am quickly reminded why I don't like it.

Another thing that is really odd to me is when I am driving to Charlotte, I can't even receive a good 610am signal until I am in the heart of uptown. That always seemed so odd to me, why they don't either boast the signal, or get an FM station.   It's 2016, this shouldn't be a problem, and no I don't want to have to stream it!

Really there are too many issues for me to keep listing, they just need to start over

If they are running nothing but promo's that's really bad, stations that are  having trouble getting advertisers usually air government safety PSA's because they can use them as tax write off's.   But if they're not even airing those, they're in deep trouble

Again, that's only if you stream it. I have no idea why that is, but it's been like that at least since around 2010 or 2011 when I first started streaming them. They've surely grown their audience online since then, so I have no clue why it's remained like that. The actual radio ads are regular ads.

They do but its an HD FM station (103.7 HD2).  If you have a radio capable of getting FMHD, you are golden.

I'm in radio, but I don't listen to FNZ (when it was Big Ways and I was growing up I listened a lot).  Part of the problem is that it's first quarter.  Broadcast advertisers blow their budgets in the 4th quarter (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, when people are spending).  Jan-Feb-March is the worst month for broadcast outlets.

People are broke from the holidays and it's winter...taxes coming up. So that's why you hear more promos.

Now that said, it's a poor job by the station to keep playing the sames promos over and over...I'd call it lazy.  It creates "listener fatigue", which makes people switch stations.

I listen via streaming and just assumed they don't sell nearly as much ad space for streaming so they have to fill it. I assume, but do not know, that they don't do that nearly as much on the actual radio.

The old takes do make me want to turn it off though.

...As I have been listening lately, it is nerve wracking to hear station promos (not ads, just clips of their shows) repeating themselves - over and over and over and over and over and over. ...

Yep... like the one with Brad Hoover and the Patriots game ... have heard that one like a thousand times.

They are still playing one from like week 9 talking about the Panthers 8-0 start, lol.   It's stupid.  I've also had trouble with the streaming this week for some reason, it keeps cutting in and out.  Now that the Panthers are done I probably won't stream much anyway.  I really just listened to Mac Attack and some of Primetime.  Celania is funny but he sounds like he's drunk every morning.
