There are few players in this league that I actually hate, most of them are the dirty SOB's like Talib and Burflict.  As much as I can't stand the Seahawks and Russell Wilson in general...I still do not hate the guy.  

 

Cam get's about as much hate as Tom Brady.  The thing is, most people consider Tom Brady a cheater, someone who breaks the rules in the NFL to win.  Cam Newton celebrates on the field and people hate on this dude as much as someone they consider a cheater.  I honestly think that it's either partially racism with some of them, hate him because he is winning or can't stand his confidence because they are self loathing POS.

 

Yes, I would get annoyed by Cam if he was an Atlanta falcon but I would never call him "Thug" or constantly bring up how he stole a laptop or all the other dumb crap these people constantly come up with about him.  Its absolutely ridiculous level's of hate for someone who celebrates on the football field.

Also.....hate on the guy all you like because he destroyed your team but for Christ's sake, at least give him credit for what he did.  It's not only the hate that Cam Newton get's but it's also people not giving him the credit he deserves for how good he actually is.

Exactly. I honestly wish Cam saw how much support he had on this forum. Cam should come on the Huddle to see how much support he has. He deserves to know how much we support him through it all.

I wouldn't be upset with the usual celebrating and stuff a lot of people realize that it's just fun with Cam and it's really in his personality. I would definitely be looking for the defensive players to stop him though.

I would probably hate him when we played him.  Other than that I dont really care about other players until it has something to do with my Panthers.

I don't really "hate" too many people.  I'm really glad that some players are NOT on my team, such as Richie Incognito, and a long list of others.  But if  Cam were on another team, I think I'd more likely be jealous and sad....

I am okay with it because its Cam being Cam.  He is just being true to himself and not living his life to please the critics.  However, I am definitely rooting against him.  I won't hate him like fans of other teams do.  I will take the approach that Denver did.  Stop him and he won't be dabbing on anyone and we wont have to see him do the Superman or give away any footballs to Falcons fans.

If he was a Falcon, I would hate him. I would probably also call him a thug and wish disease and death on him as I have every other NFC South rival QB in my weaker moments. I like to think I take every opportunity to learn things about myself and correct my behavior when I notice something wrong with it. Being a fan of Cam has opened my eyes to a lot of hypocritical BS that I've participated in in the past. I've tried to do a better job of hating the jersey, not the guy wearing it, and reserving the label of 'thug' to people that actually hurt other people, rather than just their feelings.

The exact same reason I hated Vick. I got tired of seeing him punk my team on a regular basis.
