I just drove 11 hours listening to NFL radio. Cams presser has been a major topic all day. Does he want the attention or not. For a guy who says he doesn't want to talk to the media he sure does a lot of it. He says he doesn't care what people think, then calls press conferences to address criticism. I would have had more respect for Cam had he simply refused to do the press conference Sunday and ate the fine. This would not be a topic by now had Cam not brought it back up like a teenage drama queen.

Cam didn't *call* a presser, idiot.  The press were allowed in the locker room to talk to players on this final clean-out-your-locker day as they ALWAYS are.

He has EVERY right to defend himself after the media and dumb fans were blowing his post game press conference out of proportion and lying on him about quitting on the team.

The media was still talking about Cam and making it an issue even before he decided to come out today to defend himself. He's not telling the media to continuously talk about him, they're doing that on their own.

Yeah, maybe one day we can all hope he'll be as professional as Peyton Manning.

Who rubbed his crotch in a girls face as a 'joke'.

Who ran off the field without shaking hands or congratulations after a Super Bowl loss.

Who threw his offensive line under the bus during a post-game press conference.

Yeah, maybe one day we can ALL hope for Cam to be that professional!

Yet the media acts like he is some kind of paragon of virtue.  What he did in college is far more troubling (and disgusting) than any allegation ever made about Cam, yet pretty much nobody knows anything about the Peyton incident while "stole a laptop" has practically been Cams middle name for the last 8 years.

Don't even get me started on how Tom Brady curses out his teammates, screams at refs and has been associated with multiple cheating allegations, yet is still somehow the leagues poster boy who is fawned over by the media at every turn.

Clueless as usual.

I am a Cam fan.

He never had press conferences on locker clean out day before. My whole point is this would be a non issue had he not brought it back up. It's fuel for the fire for those who do want to attack him. I am not one of them. I just hate the drama.

Also DG backed him said, "I want players that hate to lose, guys that make the bus show up late to the airport because they are taking it so hard."

Thank you Dave gettleman for not just backing him but going the extra mile to say what you said.

these guys are going to be hungry next year.

Love that Dave stood up for him (and other players).

Cam said "tit"?  Uh oh, letter to the editor incoming.

LOL. Some angry mom named Mary Kate will be writing a letter saying Cam's presser was sexually explicit and there's children looking up to him and he's a terrible role model who has yet to marry the mother of his child but sees fit to pelvic thrust and dab on Sunday's. Where are his morals?!

Cam didn't call this press conf. He usually doesn't speak on these. However, he has EVERY right to defend himself. He's been very cool about it all season so this was his time to set some things straight. Him refusing would've been a topic because everything Cam does is a topic, right or wrong. Cam sneezed on the sideline, omg he's putting his teammates at risk for germs and colds. Cam laughed on the field. Omg, he's being arrogant and doesn't respect he game. Oh Cam chest bumped Braylon pregame, omg Cam is acting for the cameras. Cam answers 13 questions in 2 minutes following the biggest loss of his life while hearing Broncos players basically taunting and he walks off, omg Cam is immature and a sore loser. Cam comes to leave out his locker and is fed up with the poo and he addresses it while the media is there interviewing other players, omg Cam wants attention. Like, dude!!! He can't win for losing. He defended himself against everything that's been said about him and his teammates all season. That doesn't mean he takes critics words to heart but he's definitely tired of it and he definitely has he right to defend himself against it. But you probably will NEVER get it.

It would've been an issue if he didn't bring it up. You know how the media works, especially with Cam. Address it, it's a problem. Don't address it, it's a problem.

But you're a "goodoleboy" and you will NEVER get it. Good day.

Another clueless one.

Its a username not an ideology. It comes from an old out of print comic strip.

Sure Cam has a right to defend himself but that doesn't make it smart. It's better just to let it die down rather than dig heels in. Less drama that way.

I don't think his SB presser would have been the main topic today had he not fanned the flames. It's a matter of degrees.

Yes it would have. Because him refusing to speak would've had the same sore loser narrative and how he's not a team player. Yes, it still would've been a hot topic of discussion today especially amongst fans. So no matter how he handled it, it still would've been an issue.

Maybe you are right locally.

I listened to 10 hours of XM talk radio today driving to Mobile Al and they all had cut up audio of today's interview. Cam made it worse today.

Well maybe you should listen to it in its entirety before commenting and saying what he should and should not have done. I promise if Cam had left BOA and headed to Atlanta for the rest of the year until OTAs, there would've been a nonstop debate over why he didn't address his actions or apologize. He decided to dead that before he left. This is his way of also saying I don't want to hear about this poo all offseason. He addressed it and did not apologize, his teammates and the organization fully stand behind him and that's that. Something else to talk about. You can't please everyone.

I just went to the Panthers facebook page and its 2014 all over again.

Off with Cam head. Our fanbase is just awful I'm sorry to say. Dont be surprise when Cam is a FA again that he bolts for the "North"..

The Bible belt is something else..

This fan base is strange as hell.

I've never seen so many people who claim to be "fans" of the team that despise the face of the franchise so much. How can you be a fan of the Panthers, but hate Cam? I would like to know how that works?

I could understand if Cam was a scrub QB, but the guy is the MVP for a reason.

Those types of people need Jesus.
