The tag is good for both parties, not ideal, but good.

He makes 5 times more in 1 season than he did his first 4 years combined, and we get a great player with no long term commitment.

Would Josh prefer a long term deal?  Yes.  However, depending on how he handles his business, 1 year as a franchise player can set him up the rest of his life.

Ideal?  No, but not "bad" for either party,
