even though Caddy Shack is a great movie...i'd hardly call it a sports movie.

Caddyshack is set on a golf course, it's main characters are golf caddys, golfers and the golf maintance crew. They play a lot of golf in the film and every bad joke people use when they play golf comes from that movie?

Unless you don't consider golf a sport how can you not think that golf played a central role in caddyshack?

It did play a role, but to me the most memorable things of that movie are Rodney Dangerfield pissing off the judge, and BIll Murray trying to catch the gopher. It's all comedy, and to me sports movies are truly about the game, the team or a specific person on the team. If I were to pick a golf movie for the list it would be Tin Cup.
