Some vets will be gone. Allen probably, Tillman should retire (get out while he can still walk),  and Harper is a FA. You saw what havoc two dominating fast lineman can cause. Charles is up against it, big contract with diminishing returns. Was this his last game in the black and blue? D.G doesn't play. That money saved can potentially buy some oline help or a DE......opinions?

he isn't worth the salary he's scheduled to make. if he does come back, it will have to be at a steep discount. someone will pay him if we let him walk (atlanta, maybe).

CJ was always going to be a cap casualty this season. Between him and Jared leaving and Kony having a great game to build on, now is a great time for DG to overhaul the defensive ends.

He did it in 2013 with the O-line. Give the pass rush the same quality and this team will be really dangerous.

All of those guys are gone.  Hate it for CJ but that contract is just too much.  Despite having a top defense last year, DG has some work to do with keeping that group elite.  Great news is that we have a solid core for him to build upon.

Even if we cut CJ and sign him to the vet min. I wouldn't want him starting next year.  He has taken a step back in production.

 

Honestly, maybe he lost the drive when he signed the big contract.  Maybe injuries have been to blame.  All I know is, he produces almost no pass rush.
