NFL Rigged?

This game was without a doubt fixed/scripted/rigged, whatever you want to call it. Here's a fun stat for you guys that won me $400: approximately 60% of the bet money was on the panthers winning and only twice since 1991 has Vegas lost money on the Superbowl.

If anyone really wants me to explain in detail to them why the nfl is fixed I will. But what I'm trying to say is don't be to hard on yourselves here, if the nfl was legit, the Panthers would have destroyed that Broncos team with ease.

the cotchery catch was in fact not a catch. Okay so every single angle BUT ONE made it look like a catch. when they upload the game for viewing on nfl rewind i can maybe create a gif. However, ever angle i saw made it look like a catch. After commercial break they showed a brief replay from a completely different angle and it showed that on the initial fall to the ground the balls nose hit the ground, hard, and was knocked back up into his arms and was bobbled around. When he rolled over the ball didn't touch the ground and that's what a lot of us were focusing on as well as the bronco hater phil simms. However, that one single angle proved without a doubt it was not a catch

If you have a gif or video that proves it wasn't a catch, post it and I'll be the first to admit I was wrong, but the 4 or 5 different angles CBS showed, I didn't see one where he didn't have his hand under the ball and maintain control thru the ground.

I'm with the OP, this one play did not lose the game for us.  The offense made plenty of mistakes, we didn't protect Cam, he was nervous/rattled/whatever and was overthrowing receivers, esp in the first half, and Denver's D was just really, really good... but, this play changed the tone of the game right at the start, we lost 30 yards because of it, and the very next play Miller beats Remmers badly and strip sacks Cam.  That's double demoralizing right there.  It was a big deal.  Had that Cotchery play been reversed and even if we'd had to then punt... it would have been 7-6 max at the half more than likely with the way our D stood up and played.

This is my problem with the officiating and I've said this consistently all season... refereeing is hard... it's bang bang and those guys are fast and big.  But when you review the play, in slow mo and with help from NY and still get it wrong, there's ZERO excuse for that.

It felt rigged.  I watched all day long, and Manning's story was built up like a fairy tale.  Then everything went the Bronco's way.  The Panthers won nearly every stat line that is shown in the box score.  They lost on sacks, turnovers and calls by the refs.  It's a damn shame.

It's as crooked as politics

Rigged? Be tough to consistently pull off conspiracies that big. 'Massaged', however? Like a little nudge here and there in key situations from a few select parties? Wouldn't really surprise me, and that applies across all sports. Anybody else remember Jeremy talking about the NFL making all members of the media remove any Carolina items prior to the 2013 playoff game against SF?

Not trying to claim that's what happened last night, but if it WERE to happen, the Super Bowl (any Super Bowl) seems like a prime event for it.

Don't get me wrong. We played like poo tonight (but so did Denver). Shula, Remmers, Drops, Blocking, etc. were trash.

I try not to go too far with the conspiracy theories. Yes, it was weird that they didn't call Denver for a penalty in the second half, but the refs didn't make us fumble.
