After the Broncos lost the Super Bowl in embarrassing fashion two years ago, Elway went out and immediately made upgrades. Demarcus Ware and Emmanual Sanders were probably the 2nd and 3rd best players on the Broncos tonight.

Truth. We do have space coming up. Gettle is going to have to put in work in to get back. It may not happen next year which sucks, but 2018 should be a realistic SB goal

Again, Im putting absolutely no blame on DG. What he's done while facing the shitstorm Hurney left for him has been masterful. My point is that now that he actually has some money to work with, it's essential that he makes significant upgrades to the two positions he's been relunctant to address. I thought it was a pretty fair point

Dear Don Shula's Son,

You're playing against a 3-4 and both OL's are rushing every single time.  There's this thing called a slant that knifes right into the space recently vacated by said DE and unless you have a middle linebacker that can cover 20 horizontal yards it's pretty much a guaranteed gain.  Every. Single. Time.

It's football, not rocket science.

Draft Defense!!

Our defense did a hell of a job this game. I don't disagree with a defensive minded draft overall but I really would like a couple of o linemen and make an aggressive move for a real #1 or #2 caliber WR somehow . who actually catches footballs .

I have no doubt we can and will make roster changes. It's an OC change that needs to happen as well to get us over the hump.

Yes please let's get an OC that will try to fit Newton into his scheme that's what Newton needs.  My god when Shula leaves and we get a worse OC I hope you guys calling for his head will drown yourselves.

They didn't rush every time.  Great argument there.

And, amazingly enough, it WORKED the 2 times we tried it!

Wow!

I don't think DG deserves blame for our loss.  But I do agree this loss showed that we do need to focus more on our OTs.  Maybe Daryl Williams will be the answer, but we need to make a strong Oline a priority.  For all his growth and his amazing season this year, Cam is not yet a good enough of a passer when pressured.

You should have said I hope dg learned from this.... Don't inherit a team with tons of salary cap problems and one that doesn't have a whole lot going for them...

He inherited 2 of the 5 or so best players i  the league. I know the cap situation sucked but he had a way better foundation that alot of other GMs could say they had

How

How is the Gettleman's fault.

A dude who's done with what he could for the last 3 years with no cap and building through the draft (lol guess were gonna blame him drafting defense next) but goddamn I guess going against the best defense in the NFL means he sucks.

Every season they look at every position and evaluate where we need upgrades and changes, then they use all their resources available to build a better roster.

That won't change this offseason, and history shows Gettleman has been very good at it.

Again, no reason to be anything but hopeful and optimistic.
