You can't reasonably expect Remmers (he was undrafted for a reason) to be able to handle Von Miller 1-on-1. There isn't a single tackle in the NFL that can contain him for an entire game by themselves. It is baffling Shula didn't give him some help. Our O-line wasn't good, but our protection scheme led to a lot of the problems...

Obviously not.  Max protection was called often. I know you won't do this, but you need to credit the denvers defense for playing an amazing game, and our offensive players, for not executing half as well as they should have.

Coaching.  Where were the adjustments?  Remmers was on an island and Shula did nothing to counter it except hamstring the offense.  This is bs when the coach calls out the team and did not do his fuging job.  This is a poorer example of professionalism from our coach and that blows my mind.  What a way to dismantle the team by pointing fingers and not OWNING your own failures.

Adjustments were there but were ineffective.  I have an issue with Shula calling out the team in the quote and perhaps I am overreacting but I don't want to see our coaches calling out the team or individual players to the media.  We have enough of a feeding frenzy on this team internally without having a coach also participate in it.

I believe the coaches were not well prepared for this game. Thinking you could leave Remmers and Oher one on one with Miller and Ware while having long deep developing routes. That ball needed to be out of Cam's hands fast and the coaches did not prepare to do that. They relied on the OTs one on one to give Cam time. Ridiculous coaching.

The biggest issue in this game is that the coaches did not put their players in positions to win. Most of the blame is on the coaching.

Remmers, Oher, Dickson, and Fozzy were all put in bad spots. It seems like the coaches would tell their players to run through a wall instead of around the wall and blame them for not being able to do it. Horrible game plan. Horrible coaching.

You know I don't know what happened last night.  Over the course of the season I thought I read where Shula was opening up the offense and letting Cam audible more, but last night seemed like we went back to 2013-2014.  

If Shula did indeed control the offensive play calling, why were NO adjustments made?  No quick slants, no screen passes, no misdirection.  He stuck with running the ball off guard and between the tackles, double moves for the receivers when Cam didn't have time for them to develop etc.

Just a total failure on the offensive side of the ball.

Do not leave Remmers one on one with Miller. Send 2 to 3 blockers at Miller and run the option game at him. Idiot.

Check out how the Chiefs do it. They man handled Miller pushing him 5+ yards back by sliding the blocking at him. Moron.

Roll out your QB to break Miller's contain and slide protection that way. Imbecile.

They shut down the run in the second half, so they had us pinned back, knowing we had to throw the ball.

 

Wedid the same thing to other teams all year and it worked for us too.

Credit given to Denver's D, but we did nothing in the run game that would even make them think twice about running "downhill."  If we mix some read option along with some designed misdirection runs it would have slowed them down.  How much?  Who knows, but my point is we didn't even try it!
