Mike Shula: "Cam wasn't good enough". Probably because you called a horrible game, Shula.

I don't know why you all are shocked. This team has always sucked when Cam got a lot of pressure. See: 2014. He was fuging awful tonight and he deserves to be called out for it, especially since the defense nearly goddamn won the game for us despite the offense.

Agreed, but that goes for literally every QB, and at no point was the gameplan adjusted at all to try limiting the Denver pressure and use their aggressiveness against them like many thought would be our calling card tonight.

The Red gets it right.  Shula has never changed his play calls.  The idea that he changed his philosophy to play to Cam's strengths is faulty.

Shula needs his QB to be unmolested in the pocket for 3 seconds.  Anything less and the offense falls off a cliff.  It's always been this way with Shula.  Our OL was not able to give that time to Cam tonight and that is it.

Shula can't adjust.

But it starts with coaching does it not?  Mike Shula sent no help to Remmers.  How is Cam suppose to play well when hes only given 2 downs to work with?  Cam started most, if not EVERY, drive of the game at 2nd and 8/9 because Shula sent Tolbert or Stewart running over the RIGHT G/T for a gain of 1, maybe 2.

True Story.  10/10.  Cam was set up to fail with that miserable game plan of wasting a down on every single series.  They tied his hands.  If we had gone no huddle I guarantee you that we would have won that game.  Their defense can only rush the passer so many times in a short period of time without getting winded.  We would have won.

    • When I was at the track meet I mentioned, it was at Thomasville.   The Tennessee Scout was someone I knew because he was at UNC before that.  He was there to meet with/scout Thomasville player(s).  He did not even look at TA.  That Thomasville/Albemarle rivalry was intense.  I was a coach when we were both 12-0 meeting in the playoffs at Tt
    • It was such an overcorrection. Not having safeties that can cover just ignores everything the NFL has done the last 20 years. There is a front 7 and those guys need to be stronger against the run. Now a safety that can also tackle along with coverage? That's the dream.
