Didn't get to watch the game.

Looked at the stat lines and saw Ealy had 3 sacks 1int.

Wondering how we lost.

One of those was a strip-sack that he recovered as well, leading to the final FG. Carolina lost because they gifted Denver 17 points in the form of their own fumbles and a ridiculous punt return.

I am happy for Ealy and his family.  I remember the story of his family situation and his little sister.  Guy is a great person and he really played outstanding in the post season.  He was our MVP if we won that game.  We have found our replacement for Hardy but a much better human.  Keep pounding team.

While I am still trying to gather my thoughts and emotions about the game tonight... this man deserves his own thread.  What an absolutely beast performance by him today.  Defense as a whole, including Kuechly and Norman, were outstanding but Ealy was the star.

He's played so well all season long and he is one of the reasons why we should be optimistic for next season.  Him, Short, and Lotulelei are going to form one hell of a defensive line.

Hopefully Jared retires/gets cut and Gettlemen signs Mario Williams to replace him and have Ealy rotate at both spots.

Short, Lotulelei, Ealy, Kuechly, Davis, Thompson, Norman on defense next year... God, I can't wait.

This Super Bowl loss hurts so much but I can't help but be so excited for our future.  We're so talented and young.  It's going to be a dog fight between us and the Seahawks, probably the Packers too because of Aaron Rodgers.

In the NFC next competition for the Panthers will be the 1. Packers, 2. Seahawks.

    • What are the matchups, stats and superlatives?   I think this will be a hard game. Bucs are a very balanced team on offense:  7th  in total yards per game, 7th in passing, 10th in rushing. Baker is having another career year even better than last year but despite missing his Godwin and Evans. Bucs defense is poor (29th) particularly passing defense, but we’re also depleted in our receiving with Coker and Sanders likely out. Running Chuba is key but their defense is better against the run. (16th) I think this is likely going to require us to score a lot of points to keep up and hopefully the home field advantage tips the scale in our favor. My other concern is our run defense and being able to stop their rookie study Bucky Irving who the Bucs have shifted more carries to recently and he’s averaging 5.4 ypc and knows how to get into the endzone with 5 TDs so far.
    • This is nonsense and you know it. People will be happy when we are consistently and convincingly winning games against good teams. There are people in here talking down to others after losses and barely beating the terrible NY Giants. If you want to strut around here like only you are a real Panthers fan and rage pooing posts because your jimmies are rustled then hey good luck with all that. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
    • Who had the massive meltdown last year? Hope they feel better this year.
