What its not made out of carbon fiber?

Not sure if your being sarcastic but... carbon fiber can be very rigid and doesn't have the best properties to absorb and dissipate  impacts. Its mostly used when you want a high strength to weight ratio on components.

Not far past that. I code, but I hate the business field I work in. I would love to get in to fabricating bike parts. I have no idea if it can actually make money but it would be fun.

I feel your pain. Got an engineering degree and all I do is project managing work. Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork!

Thats pretty sweet! As an ME, CNC's and the milling process is beautiful. Nothing like cutting through metals like butter.

Attached are some of the things we 3d printed. All these items are actual peoples arteries, bones, and organs. They were taken from an MRI file and converted to STL format for the printing process.

Very nice. Did you take this class as part of your career or just as an elective? Most of my work was making one- offs and some reverse engineering. Loved it.

It was actually an elective but I recommend it to anyone that needs an elective. It was a great class that introduces the many different types of processes of 3d printing. Our university is lucky enough to have 500k Stratys machines that do amazing prints. We also had a couple of machines that can 3d print metal parts, those were NICE.

Got any pictures of the metal ones? Or perhaps an unlocked door where they're kept?

Protecting his arm or protecting the Broncos from what his arm will do to him?

Also I have several 3D printers and currently working on a metal printer. I've only had to use the fire extinguisher twice

Awesome. If you don't mind saying what kind of printers do you have? I'm thinking of getting one for home here but working on getting an all in one CNC first. And by working on a metal printer do you mean using one or making one?
