Cam Newton disappointed me

This is why I don't like threads like this. Fans create some sort of expectations that celebrities must acknowledge them and then get disappointed when reality doesn't meet fantasy. And somehow it's Cam's fault that the fan had unrealistic expectations that he should have greeted your family when he didn't feel like it. It kinda pisses me off.

Further proof this dude is as fake as it gets. Biggest phony in football right now. There was an article at the beginning of the whole cam and football to kids thing about how cam had to REPEATEDLY be TOLD by his QB COACH and HEAD COACH to give the ball to KIDS to try and repair his image in the nfl and that as long as he is giving kids footballs he will have something to fall back on when he is criticized for being classless on the field. You guys really think cam seriously gives two shits about those kids? You guys think Cam does charity for any other reason than having a publicist that advices him to do so? Do any of you think most NFL players do charity for any other reason than they are advised to by their publicist? Rivera and the qb coach said they wanted to give back to community. The footballs to kids is their thing, their idea, and something they had to force down cams throat. They legit said after every touchdown they radio'd into his helmet to get him to give it to a kid and he just never would and FINALLY he did it. Now they got him doing it all the damn time to try and make it seem like everyone is just a hater of a phony and a half. Dude can't take to seconds to say hi to some kids but has no problem taking 2 seconds out of the game he is playing when he is supposed to be in his zone to say hi. You idiots defending this phony piece of trash is hilarious and this are his true colors when he's not following the choreography rivera has set up for him

Jesus Christ....where in the hell do all of these brain dead dimwited douchebags come from.  You guys make Saints and Falcons fans look like Mensa members.

Your family trees look like broomsticks.

I'm at the team hotel. He walked through the lobby last night with Chosen on his chest. He wouldn't talk to anyone then either. He looks tired.

Spoke with RR this morning and he obliged with a photo. But you could tell he wanted to get on with his day.

This is in a hotel with as much security as Ft Knox. Even one of the players asked me who I was with and when I said nobody, they asked how I got in this hotel. They really want their privacy. And if they are that private here, then I can imagine out on the streets where everyone can approach them.

The only players who have been really friendly are Ed Dickson and Josh Norman.

I'm sure they're ready to just start the game already. I got tired of the media coverage and I'm a fan in charlotte..  I can only imagine how annoying it must be for them

I remember when I used to work near Asheville, NC and one day Andie Mcdowell came walking in.  That is probably the biggest celebrity I have ever seen just walk into a normal place of business.  At the time, I was a huge fan of her's, this was around the time "Ground Hog" day was literally in theater's about a year earlier...so, she was at the top of her stardom at the time.  I remember wanting to walk up to her and ask what it was like to smack Bill Murray in the face over and over...... LOL.  She went to the back and I just remember when she came back to the front, she had a mob of people around here.  The poor women was just trying to buy something to drink and it was nearly impossible for her to just do that.  My point is, even as big as a fan as I was at the time, I decided not to go over there and add to it.  I am sure Andie Mcdowell would have been more than happy to say Hi to me or shake my hand but I didn't want to add to her misery.  We need to realize that these guys / women are just normal people like you and I that sometimes just probably want to be left alone.  Approaching these people in restaurant settings is just not the time or place, even if they are just waiting to pick something up with some friends.

Could you imagine being Michael Jackson? That man was easily the most famous person worldwide ever to live. Seems crazy to be Cam, huh? Michael was maybe 50x bigger than Cam is now.

Everything is relative when you're not a celebrity. And I don't even know the point of your post.

So I went downtown with my two young daughters 7 and 10 and my wife to take kids ice skating. We stopped by La Victoria to get dinner before we went ice skating.

As we walked in we seen Cam Newton sitting at a table with his hood on and like 4 or 5 other dudes. So we stood in line and ordered our food. After we ordered our food, Cam was right at the 1st table. We had to walk past him to get to the tables that were empty towards the back .

So my wife was like go do hi to Cam and wish him luck to my oldest daughter and ask if he can take a picture with y'all . So as we started to pass him my daughter said " excuse me" to Cam and he just ignored her. And one of the dudes was like "no pictures man"

I was disappointed, we all had Panther gear on, my youngest was even wearing a Panther cheer leader uniform. Cam literally was in the same restaurant with us for 20 minutes waiting on his food order. We even got our food before he left and was eating while he walked past us literally within inches of our table.  He never smiled or nothing, my girls were upset and were crying, I felt bad. He could have at least smiled at them or even just let them wish him luck. I could understand not wanting pictures, but to still be there for another 20 minutes, and at least could have been a little friendly

is this a troll? are you for real? you disappoint me sir.....if he said hi to every kid on the st or even 25% of people and kids it would take an hour to walk 20 steps. Can the man enjoy a meal without you thrusting your expectations on him dude.....wow
