Let me make sure I understand.....Cam does charity work but he's a dick because it's all for publicity.  If Cam didn't do charity work, he's a dick for not doing charity work. Cam's a dick because he gives footballs to kids at the suggestion of his QB coach but if he didn't give footballs to kids, he'd be a dick because he dances in the endzone?  Basically, you say Cam's a dick regardless because you pretend to know the motives behind what another man is doing.  That, my shallow little friend, makes you the biggest dick of all.

hahaha no I didn't say any of that. Not once did I say he was a dick. I said he was a phony and that goes for a poo ton of nfl players and it's not exclusive to him. Peyton Manning is a phony as well. The thing is, people bring up the kids and charity as if he's some great dude and it's genuine when in reality, he's only doing it because he's a smart and aware public figure. So if anything, I'm telling the idiot fans here defending him with those excuses to re-examine how they defend someone.Maybe try reading comprehension classes?

What charity work do you do?  I doubt you've ever done anything at all.....even if you did, I'm sure it's all for some self serving interest to impress someone and not sincere at all.  You're a phony, you're insincere, you're a self serving narcissist.  See how easy it is to say that about anybody?

The truth is, you dislike Cam because you're desperately jealous of him.  You have no talent, you can't be him so you despise him.  You tear him down in a vain effort to build yourself up.  You think you know how he should act, how he should celebrate, how he should conduct interviews.....you think you know these things because you're so damn jealous of who he is, and even more, who you aren't.  The fact is, Cam Newton and most Panther fans don't care about small people who hate on our QB or our team.  In fact, we LOVE that you're so intent on revealing the "hidden truth" behind the motivations of our QB.  We LOVE knowing you hate Cam.  We LOVE it because we all know how you will feel every time we win.  We feast on the tears of people like you.....Keep posting because your little rants give us joy.  And when Cam is dabbing in the Super Bowl, just know, I'll be thinking about you.  LOL

Actually I've done a lot of volunteer work myself. I've done it for various reasons. None of which were because i was advised to do so to increase my public standing nor was it in order to be noticed by anyone. 

 

The truth is, I don't dislike Cam at all. I see Cam for who he really is, which anyone in the world can see if they stop trying to interject kids and footballs into the mix to try and imply people are haters and that people should be okay with showboating. I don't like showboating by any player but that doesn't mean i'm right and anyone is wrong. I also don't hate cam for doing what he's done. He's incredibly coachable. Who doesn't want a player who is coachable on and off the field? I'll take Cam Newtonon my team over any QB in the NFL. PUHLEASSSE. But no, I will not bring up stupid irrelevant poo in trying to convince people to like the dude. and for the record, most people these days are narcissists. Have you been on facebook? But yet again, I like cam. I don't like the showboating but that applies to any and all players. offense and defense. I believe in class. I believe in respect. I believe panthers fans need to quit bringing up irrelevant poo to justify there positions versus others positions on cam.

Chances are, if you are the most recognizable 6 foot 5 inch athlete/celebrity in a relatively small town ( or any town for that matter) and you are out and have your hood on, you don't want to be noticed and are not looking to entertain anyone.  

 

I know now it's hard for young ones but I suspect the constant bombardment of people and requests is exhausting.  My son and I saw Jordan Gross out one day last year.  He looked like he was in a hurry but my son wanted an autograph.  Had to explain to my son that Gross had a life too and it just did not seem reasonable.  Rather than asking for the autograph (and likely experiencing an awkward rejection). my son settled for just waving and saying hi.

Im sorry you had a bad experience OP. I just hope you consider that the celebrity status is extremely taxing Im sure. Hell I work at a bar and I honestly can't stand people sometimes. I'm sure Cam has his moments where he just wants to be left alone in whichever way he rationalized it in his head. Nobody is perfect. But I will not deny that is a shitty thing to experience. I just hope you don't judge his entire character on it.

I see no problem with being disappointed in not getting a photo with one of your favorite players of all time, but I also don't think it is worth being upset over, nor making a post like this. Explain to your kids that Cam is probably just trying to live his life and gets a lot of attention and sometimes just needs a break. Easy.
