You aren't a Panthers fan if you don't like Cam. Period. You aren't allowed to have it both ways, you are either a fan of this team AND Cam, or you aren't. No middle ground.

Alright, here goes:

It chaps the asses of SOME whites to see non whites, particularly black people, do well and make it known that they're making something of themselves. To them, blacks are still part of the slave class and should remember their place. It's pointless to reason with ppl like this because they're stuck in their ways and will never change. *shrugs*  It's just the way it is.

The wife, who knew nothing about football before this year, loves her some Cam. She loves his enthusiasm, and how he plays the game. She smiles at his dabbing, after I explained the origins, and his dancing. After hearing everything he does for kids and the community, even she doesn't understand how you cannot love him.

 

Sure, she had no preconceived biases, so it was easy for her to fall under his spell. But if someone who barely understands the game can love him. Why is it so difficult for people who understand the game, and how he treats it, hate the kid?

 

Ah screw it. If you hate Cam, it's because you want to. Point blank.

Go To Girl is an absolute Panther fan and most certainly has no ill will whatsoever for Cam.

She stopped posting here because she ran into some serious garbage on this board at a time when things were an unholy mess, and if you knew the real story behind it you might understand.

Any implication that she dislikes Newton or has any hidden motivation is completely uninformed, and anybody who knows her from her time on here would back that up.

You're completely off base with this, dude. 

Heck, if she posted here more frequently, it'd be a better board because of it.

This board at times can become unbearable. There are a lot of old posters that don't post here anymore. The amount of disrespect on this board gets old sometimes.  Used to be you could discuss and debate things here and it would be entertaining. Now you try to debate something you get snarky remarks or labeled a hater.

Because I know her - as do many others on here - I know she's not doing what you're suggesting.

You don't know her, and your characterization of her based on a small sample is completely off base.

She went through some major s--t on here that bled over into real life, stuff she didn't deserve at all.  It's because of stuff like that that she isn't on here that much anymore, but she still has plenty of friends on here, and all of them know she's a real fan.

Must've been before Florida then. It's been a very long time. All i truly remember is we were given an ultimatum by him to pull all other QB offers and for whatever reason we did it. Probably more dumb on the athletic department than it was bad by Cam but it's still something that chaps my ass just a hair. Though I suppose I should be happy in a way because had that not happened he may have never made it to the league. The gamecocks had a string of 11 win seasons and Cam ended up starting in the Superbowl for the Panthers. Take my win where I can get it I suppose.

I absolutely don't know her.

Which makes the little I've seen of her very unimpressive, I guess.

(P.S. The people she chose to talk down to?  I wonder how well she knows THEM?  Or is that kind of thing only supposed to work in *her* favor?)
