As far as I'm concerned, Cam is the heart and soul of this team and we wouldn't be in the Superbowl without him.

I guess I will make a confession.

When the Panthers drafted Cam, I absolutely hated the pick. Part of it was the things said about his character, yes, but I had more issues about his passing abilities. He had the big arm but not the accuracy and there has been a history of QBs with similar qualities that flamed out in the league. 

Lo and behold, he showed a lot of promise right from the start. At the minimum, I could tolerate him although I still had some doubts. Could he actually be the leader of this team, the one that could actually win us games? 

The answer took a while to reveal itself. There were many struggles along the way. He had to learn about the game while at the same time, I needed to know more about Cam Newton.

After all this time, I've gone from initial disdain to a big supporter. He could dab on me for proving me wrong and all I can do is laugh. At the end of the day, he's enjoying the game he loves, his teammates have his back and he gets it done on Sundays. What's not to like?

Yup. I have about 15 people on my ignore list because of this so they definitely existed but to a large degree have stopped posting or changed their tunes.
