According to Albert Breer from TD's doctors the issues he warned TD about is that he may/will have trouble gripping and rotating his arm.....obviously still a number of days before the game and still a few more sessions of practice to test him out but it seems a bit risky giving him a heavy load in the Super Bowl.

His grip strength seems to be fine after he gave Michael Irvin a good squeeze on a handshake last night. Arm rotation might be a slight issue if he needs to turn his hand to better deflect or intercept a pass or something, but I don't really see that being a major problem. Someone landing on it in a fumble pile or a tackle where the ball carrier comes down on top of his arm are potential worries from me about it. Otherwise I think he is completely fine to play. They will pump it full of toradol and he probably won't feel a thing during the game when you combine that with adrenaline.

Not worried about pass coverage or open field tackling.

playing the run or blitzing IMO requires a lot of upper body pushing to get off blocks.    Also heard a former player say if he was Denver he would cut TDs legs and make him brace himself on falls with his arm.

I think on passing situations he can he highly effective

Denver will test that arm. Look for some cheap shots.

with that said TD is the kind of dude that if he knows he's a liability on the field, he will not put himself out there if it's hurting the team. Shaq has been practicing in a worst case scenario. He's obviously a rookie but he's got such athleticism and explosiveness it's not such a terrible thing that I feel he would be a liability in the biggest game of this teams lives. What a pickup in 20/20 hindsight.
