Patriots' Center Bryan Stork Tipped the Snap the Entire Game vs. Denver

It's because they had to go silent count on the snap due to the crowd noise. That shouldn't be an issue at the Super Bowl. Instead of Kalil looking between his legs, we have Trai look back to Cam then tap Kalil to signal for the snap.

Why the Pats didn't vary the timing after the center lifted his head is beyond me.

Guess Belichek thought the same thing.. and fired the Oline coach.

Denver's pass rush is extremely good, but unlike NE .. you guys have 1) A mobile QB and 2) A ground game.  NE had neither of those things, making it so much to tee off on Brady down after down.

And a very good O-Line to boot.  Heard on The Fan today, cam was hit 3 times in the backfield....all playoffs.

Wow, two pages of comments an no one commented on the obvious?  The Patriots were on the road!  Cam rarely forced defensive encroachment on the road because they generally use a silent count.  So you can't compare his cadence game at home to Brady's on the road.

A fair point about cadence, but the Super Bowl will be much more of a "neutral field" situation than an away game. Cam's cadence has been a big advantage this year and I bet they want to use it if they can; wouldn't be surprised if the team is prepped to go either way.

Interesting aside: I wonder if teams have had to use silent counts in recent Super Bowls.

Stork missed a significant portion (about half) of the year with a serious concussion, just one of the many he has suffered in recent years. Something tells me that he wasn't 100% against the Broncos and that could certainly contribute to his tipping of the snap. Kalil is arguably the best C in the league so hopefully the Broncos won't be able to get good jumps against us.

It depends on the noise. There is really no telling what it will be like.Obviously there will be much less than with the 80,000 at Mile High, but even 25,000 people can make a difference. That's what happened with Seattle two years ago. Their fans were really loud and it caught the Broncos off guard. If we have to go silent then it's not going to Kalil that would tip the snap, it would be Trai. He looks back to Cam then taps Kalil's right leg to signal for the snap. Watch the very beginning of this video from the Dallas game.

Now it is not nearly as obvious as what Stork was doing with the head bob but if we have to go to this and we don't vary the timing from the tap to the snap then it's possible that Miller and Ware could use that to get a jump on the snap. More so Miller than Ware since it would occur on Miller's side and he will have a better view of it.

hope the noise isn't too much of a factor or Remmers is gonna have 2-3 false starts minimum. will be important to vary the snap count. think Cam will take advantage of Super Bowl jitters and try and fool the Broncos line with the hard count early.
