D'Angelo Wlliams Sorta Bad Mouthing, Not Giving Cam Credit; A Bit Salty?

People need to stop tearing down former Panthers! That is sad and a sign of a bandwagon fan.

Sometimes they deserve to be torn down.  These guys are millionaire and I really doubt they give a crap what us everyday fans think about them.  Also...no, it's not a sign of a bandwagon fan.

Seems like he agrees with DWill when you couple that with the short interview he gave on radio. According to Beason Cam is coming along and is still proving himself, but he is now to a point where he can be accepted at the table. The article was more about Beason's relation with the players from the 2010 team and how they deserve this moment.

DWill was much more enthusiastic with his comments on how Cam will be MVP and how the combo of Cam and the defense is extremely tough to beat. DWill is in Santa Clara for the entire week. Beason is not. What does that tell you?

Beason's interviews are much sadder in tone but happy about his teammates from 2010.

I think Beason was much more effusive in his praise and tone, and appeared to have no lingering animosity (either direct or implied) with the Panthers or any teammates. Dwill sure appeared that way IMO.

I would have never posted that interview, if I thought Dwill was being "Cagey Professional (i.e., speaking in positive platitudes and generalities)" Instead he was "cagey, uninspired" if you ask me.

I did not find him joking or happy in his retorts and statements to Boomer regarding Cam either. He was dead serious IMO.

He was more positive during early, other parts of the interview, yes. However, when he was asked about Cam he gave some non direct responses. How many people do that, unless they have nothing good to say (and even then, they pretend-don't they)?

Why even bring up the defense and Cam being a game manager, when the team is the leading scoring offense in the league, and has been involved in a lot of high scoring games this year where Cam has excelled? Then he says later, he hadn't watched many Panthers games, as if he knows he was full of poo. There were very few, if any direct compliments regarding Cam.

It appears, D'Angelo's still a bit upset he wasn't always a good fit-then cut from the OFFENSE and team (along with some other stuff, maybe)?

Don't know how you couldn't see the difference between his and Beason's comments (espescially now with the reported retweets mentioned below). Doesn't make D'Angelo a bad guy per se. But yes, a bit salty, maybe? And that's fine. I'm sure he has his reasons. But it still makes him salty, and a bit childish/petulant.

And I don't hate D'Angelo BTW.

Nonetheless, thanks for your comments and perspective.

He's tweeting/responding to people right now about it.  Again, basically saying Cam only has 1 good season, not winning seasons, yada yada.

Whatttttaaaaaa bitch

So there it is.

Thanks.

As if his Rookie. 3d year, and even 4th year (with all his, and team struggles) didn't count.

Wow!

He's also calling people out on "threats" and saying he'll report them to authorities.

Cry, DeAngelo, cry.

So reporting people to threatening your life/health is crying?  So if I threaten your wife and or girlfriend and kids you would be ok?

GTFO of here

Even if D'Angelo had very high standards (such as Cam's year this year), he should/would need to provide context. Such as, "Cam's a young guy, who's been developing, and I would love to see him have several more years like this to Cement his status as an all time great".

Because, D'Angelo must know, people can misconstrue his comments regarding Cam Newton having "one good season" if no context's provided.

He could have went a myriad of ways in dealing with the contention.

Who cares?

DWill is basically mad that he couldn't do anything here so we showed him the door. He's jealous of what we accomplished without him (rushing offense) and still bitter about the breakup.

Even Smitty isn't being this petty, and people hate Smitty.

Me, personally, out of all former Panthers that I wish were still Panthers, DWill is probably now more towards the bottom of the list. He was low before, because of how he handled his departure with the whole  "nobody came to my momma's funeral" card and trying to put our org on blast. But now he is even lower because he's basically a chihuahua barking at a pit bull...

yap yap yap...

His relationship with organization, as well as the fanbase soured like no one else i can remember, minus Peppers.  In terms of going from sugar to sh*t, i'd say Peppers is head and shoulders above anyone else, but DWill has firmly entrenched himself in at #2, and the more he opens his mouth, the more he is pushing for that top spot.

Two points though...

1) I'm thinking to be a guest on any Boomer Esiason show, you have to take a test that proves your hate for all things Carolina.  I think he was just playing the straight man in this interview to provide aome balance while still getting the Cam/Carolina hate across.  Dwill is just a salty fuging idiot at this point.  Enjoy your rapist QB and hope your couch is comfy while we're winning out championship this weekend.

2) for all the sh*t that has been talked about Smitty and his behavior since he left Carolina, look at the difference between the interviews he's given during our playoff run versus bullshit like this.  Smitty is class and will eventually be honored by our organization.  Dwill is a skid mark.

Nobody actually threatened him. Thus, the "threats". The tweet from a guy to DeAngelo just said something like, "You're weak, at least Smitty is proud, don't let me catch you slippin" and DeAngelo replies with something like, "Is that a public threat, I take those serious and will report you".

Basically, the equivalent of you telling me on a message board to GTFO.

I think D-Will is mad that Cam got a ton of rushing TDs while they were teammates. You know TDs matter come contract time.

The way D-Will played last season, he really should have been signed a starter somewhere. Not a backup.
