actually nevermind i just read a bunch of articles and poo posted up on the lions forum and it looks like the writing's been on the wall for quite a while.

he's timing it well before the draft/free agency so the team can have a chance to get their poo together.

Yea. Asked for a trade and owner wouldn't do it. Bengals still had the rights on him so they ended up dealing him to the raiders for  2 first round picks ( if I remember correctly)
