I Believe Deep Down The NFL, NFL Media, And Fans of the NFL Wants Peyton To Win

Friends don't let friends be paranoid.

Here we go again with blanket stuff and no way to quantify the media and who they want.

Like mr scott said.  Game is decided on the field.

same logic Cam has told teams. You dont want me to dance don't let me score. Don't want Peyton to ride off into the sunset well...you know what to do.

it's win-win for the NFL, honestly. if peyton wins this one the narrative is old superstar rides into the sunset. if we win it the narrative is new powerhouse ascends to replace the league's elite.

the panthers have enough star power to give the nfl marketing machine all the juice it wants. in fact you could argue they're much more marketable than the peyton manning broncos and therefore the team that league actually wants to win.

I have been saying that at work. Totally agree. Added bonus is 50 year.

I think most will be pulling for Peyton to have an ideal movie ending.  I get that.  If Carolina wasn't in it I would likely too.

but for the NFL it is a win/win regardless of outcome.

Carolina gets to determine the ending of this movie though.

I don't think it surprising that some of the media and neutral fans want to see the Broncos win a Super Bowl. They want to see the fairy tale ending for one of the greatest players to play the game - Peyton Manning. It is no slight on us, it is simply the case they want to see the old gun slinger win his last battle against the new generation and ride off into the sunset with his second Lombardi trophy. It would be no different if Peyton was our quarterback and Cam was the Broncos quarterback, they would want us to win the Super Bowl because it will likely be Peyton Manning's last game and they want to see him go out on top.

Obviously for us Panthers fans we want to see our team win this game, but for neutrals and the media, I can totally understand why they want to see the Broncos win a Super Bowl.

I'm sure Disney wants the Panthers to win.  They have a blind side sequel to make.

Otherwise, there's a guy who was booed by the team that drafted him, a guy who overcame multiple ACL injuries, and a running back with same name as the Green Lantern on the Panthers so I think they're more likable.

We got the black vote/minority vote being that Cam has a  lot of love in the black community and Rivera is Hispanic...usually that does put us at odds with most of white America....plus it's Peyton....yea....

That being said I like the love we are getting and where we are getting it from so it's enough for me.

Peyton Manning, between football, pizza, insurance and having a big forehead is likely one of the most recognized celebrities in America today.

Don't allow your jimmies to get rustled by the sports media utilizing his notoriety to generate greater interest in their product.  Getting more eyes viewing and mouths moving is the name of the game.

Once Denver is obliterated in next Sunday's SB expect an uptick in Cam's celebrity and a down tick in everything Peyton.
