Watch Nippleshorts shock the world and pick a WR in the 1st round now... lol. :P

Nothing will really surprise me. If WR is BPA, I almost expect it. But I think the WR would have to be significantly better than the next best DE/CB for him to do that. Like Calvin Johnson just fell to pick 31!!!

From what I hear, DE/DT and WR are deep in this draft.  So hopefully that means we'll have a very good player sitting for us there at the 31st pick (yes, I said 31st pick :P ).

Yeah drafting a safety specifically to move to LB seems like a very strange thing to mock us doing. If we draft an S I'm sure he'll play S.

I tend to agree with you but I thought the same thing when we drafted a safety from Georgia years ago to play linebacker.  Now TD is a beast at linebacker so not much surprises me anymore.

Why would the Panthers draft Derrick Henry? He has been mocked in most mock draft to go 2nd round (strange for Heismann winner..) so he would probably be available. But we have 3 pretty good RBs 2 of which most likely going to lead us to a super bowl win.

If we drafted him how would he get playing time? Not unless the Panthers totally change the Stewart is the workhorse strategy from this season to a 2 or 3 way model , and then they'd be totally shafting CAP out of playing time .

If Stewart is anything like DeAngelo that means he'll be able to play into his early 30s and still be productive.

Drafting a big WR is a waste with Kelvin coming back and Funchess still there. I think it makes since to get a speed WR to groom to replace Ginn but I doubt the panthers will go that route in the draft.

I think Derrick Henry is a beast, but Bama ran very little (if any at all) of the read-option.

Not so sure he's a good fit in this style of offense.

Now it may be the case that he would just be THAT GOOD in any style of offense.  That he has the vision and the patience to let Cam put that ball in his belly and wait until Cam makes his decision.  But it also may be the case that his ability to adapt to that is limited.

Again, I'm a big fan of Henry, but I would prefer a guy like Elliot from Ohio State (if he was miraculously available) because his experience in the Urban Meyer offense gave him practice with the read-option.

Out of all the prospect in this draft, the one guy that makes me wipe the drool off of my mouth is Braxton Miller.

We have the WR to take the top off of a defense (Ginn).

We have 2 WR that can outsize and outfight the DBs (KB and Funch).

What I would like to have is a WR that is a play-maker and play-breaker.  That can catch a ball in the flat, break the defenders ankles and take it to the house.  I think Braxton Miller could be a WR like that.

If he's sitting there available at the bottom of the 2nd round, jump on that kid.

Imagine Miller and Cam in the backfield! That's is all you need to think about.......
