It goes back to the Superbowl loss/humiliation.

They realized (unless they do go back and win), they missed out on Footbal Immortality.

The Patriots interception in the end zone to end SB49 haunts Seahawks fans to this very day...

SB50 was Seattle's only road to redemption.

Panthers crushed those dreams.

The arrogance and entitlement are staggering.  You would think they've been this year after year dominant force.  They don't have a storied history of success, like other franchises that can point to dominance or dynasties from previous decades.

They're just some bandwagon whiney bitches who, as others have pointed out, have no perspective on anything less than division champions.  I'm too lazy to look it up but I would love to know how many seasons the Seahawks have been in existence, and then how many times have they been NFC Champs.  Is it three?

First season:  1976

And yes, 3 conference championships:  2005, 2013, 2014

They don't understand that the torch has been passed. They were the Detroit bad boys and we are the Michael Jordon bulls. They had a couple good years but they were a road block for us. We bulldozed them and are going for our first super bowl. The most exciting part is that we will be better next year with the return of Kelvin Benjamin, the return of our injured players, the draft which we have nailed every year Gettleman has been here. The growth of our rookies Shaq Thompson and Devin Funchess along with Daryl Williams and Cameron artist payne. Carolina shouldn't lose any major free agent components this offseason (Gettleman will find a way to keep them) and the growth of Cam Newton who is a completely different quarterback from the first 8 weeks to the last 8 weeks.

Cam Newton first 8 weeks

Completion percentage-53.85

Yards-1820

 Passing Touchdowns-16

Interceptions-9

Rushing touchdowns-5

Cam Newtons last 8 weeks

Completion percentage-67.36

Yards-2017

Passing touchdowns-21

Interceptions-1

Rushing touchdowns-5

The numbers don't lie that Cam Newton took his game to a whole different galaxy in terms of elite play.  He was being compared to Colin Kaeprnick in the first half of the year but such comparisons were foolish and only now look down right comical. You could make an argument that Cam Newton's receivers were making catches (Funchess, brown, ginn) with less drops or that Cam Newton was playing weaker defenses during this stretch (a mute argument considering Cam newton played against 2 top 5 defenses and pounded them.) Though honestly it should be the development of Cam Newton that is the biggest factor. Cam Newton is the undisputed MVP of the NFL because he has mastered the nuances of being an NFL quarterback.

Cam Newtons stats against 2 top 5 defenses in the playoffs.

Completion percentage-70%

touchdowns-5

interceptions-1

yards-496

What was the point of all this talk about Cam Newton and the changing of the guard of the top NFC teams Carolina and Seattle? Cam Newton has developed into the quarterback we dreamed he could be and Seattle's days of dominance are done. They may win the division or go to the playoffs but they are going to be second fiddle to Carolina. Carolina will be a better team next year not only because of the infusion of more young talent and a dominant core that will still be intact but because Cam Newton has arrived.

Thanks, so there you have it - roughly double the time of existence and one more conference championship.  Put them on par with the Saints, which we all know is a life of consistent mediocrity where the sun shone on the dogs ass that one time.

And let's just make it worse. Learning can be such fun.

The Seahawks are the only NFL team to switch conferences twice since the league merged into the NFL. It started out in the NFC West Division in 1976 before switching to the AFC West Division in 1977. The Seattle Seahawks then moved back into the NFC West Division in 2002.

They were in the AFCW until the division realignments.

I wonder how many 12s know that.
