Anyone else going to watch the SB alone?

When I was a socially active, single,  twenty something the idea of watching a game alone would have seemed foreign to me,  but now as a married, overworked,  forty something it's the only way I want to watch any game that I'm not there in person to witness.

People at work keep asking me where I'm going to watch it at. I told them probably by myself, because I want to be alone with my emotions. They asked me are you going to cry.....I said probably

I'm leaning towards it.  I think I might enjoy it more and not have to worry about bringing food. My closest friends will be having a get together but they're all hippie musician and crossfit guys who aren't into football like me.  If they talk over the game I'd snap, but they know who to root for.  Watching the Panthers alone is actually really awesome because there aren't any distractions and in case you've got to get a little crazy you have license to do so in your own home.

Im watching with my gf and dad instead of going to a big party. Where I live in nyc no one wants the panthers to win and I dont want to watch the game with people rooting for the broncos.

My wife offered to have a Super Bowl party at our house but I refused. Everyone around here is a Peyton fan. I don't want to hear even one person talk smack during this game. I would be tempted to take a hostage.

My entire life I would rather be in a corner reading a good book than go to a party. I'm an introvert, you are not and that's fine. That's why you do what you do. The world would be dull without all types of people. I won't be disconnected though. Twitter will be open & the family is one text/phone call away. Retiring has changed a lot of things & not having to be a social party animal is one I'm enjoying. Now, if there was a very large viewing party where I could be anonymous, I would consider being there. But for now I'll just be anonymous here.

If you live in the Charleston area and do not want to watch the game by yourself, "You" (whoever "you" are) are welcome to watch the game with us (me and my son.....  my wife in the background).....  but only if you are a hardcore Panthers fan, know how to behave,  don't say stupid stuff (e.g so-and-so needs to be fired... we need to get so-and-so in free agency.... ) and can deal with my Dutch accent (22 years in SC, still recognizable Dutch).
