Anyone else going to watch the SB alone?

Might be the first time I watch a SB by myself, since I watch every panthers game alone I don't want to jinx it. Plus if god forbid the panthers lose I'm gonna have a total meltdown, I don't want nobody around.

I am. I'm not familiar with good spots to watch the Super Bowl in Charlotte. I may go to one of the bars like where ESPN 730 is broadcasting.

So let me get this straight...

You'd (some of you) rather watch the game alone because you can't control your mouth, stand someone commenting on a commercial, tolerate someone who can't name all 53, likes another team, or might sneeze at the wrong time?

Some of you fuggers need to find a way to put this poo into perspective.

I can't be at the game and Ill be damned if Im not going to have someone to scream with, high five, and hug when we take this one down.  I guess you'll chest bump your Newton FatHead...

Pretty much, I'm also superstitious

I don't mind watching SuperB owls with other people. But this is different. I enjoy watching Panther games by myself. People have a tendency to talk. Talking annoys me. Especially for a Panther SuperB owl.

That said. As some of you know, lately, the wife has taken it upon herself to hone herself into my Panther tradition. She asks questions, and talks. (Especially when she thinks she makes a cute aside. Annoying as hellz.) Two things that truly irk me. The problem is, this year she is taking the day off to watch the game with me. I love her to death, but I am ruing the day she decided to learn about football.

We watched the repeat of the Denver NE game so she could scout the team we are playing. Part of me is happy that after almost 25 years she is finally taken an interest in football. But why now?

I'm with you 100%. I don't know who these people surrond themselves with, but I couldn't imagine not watching this game (or any game) without my crew. Enjoying games with your best friends is a huge part of football IMO - not locking yourself in a room alone because you can't be around people.

@Inimicus I know you're coming back to NC, but how amazing will Shelbys be for the game?

When I read these posts I keep picturing Steve Buscemi's character from Billy Madison is the one typing

The problem for me, and I assume others like me who have small children, is that we just don't socialize as much as we used to.  The other problem that has been mentioned is how annoying it is watching the game with casuals or even people who know nothing about football, thus spending 90% of the game talking about commercials or answering basic level questions about football.  Not an enjoyable experience.

for me I normally watch alone.  My old college buddy is having a party at his house in LKN so I will go down there for that.  If that wasn't the case I would be watching alone.  My wife doesn't care about football and knows to leave me alone, esp. during a game of this magnitude.

Said it earlier in the year, when I figured out that we were really good "if we make the SB let's go to Lake Tahoe and make it a gambling, boarding, football weekend.

Then I quit my job, and took another over the past week...so I guess no going West for me.

I will probably watch with my wife like every game over the past few years, and maybe one other couple who know how to keep their mouths shut.
