I have a ton of respect for Manning and all he has accomplished but at this point in his career he's susceptible to mistakes and while no QB wants to get hit, Payton REALLY doesn't want to take hits.  I remember he slid down untouch in the pocket, then got up and threw a pass against earlier in the playoffs.  My point is, pressure will absolutely affect him.  We should jam receivers at the line to throw off the timing of his quick throws underneath.  Pressure in his face from Star and Short will allow Theives Ave to feast large on SB Sunday.  If Payton can't step into his throws, he's in deep poo poo.

I think the D line sets the tone early, and if we get up a couple scores there's no way they can come back with that offense

Which leads me to the question, is the defense doing any preparation for Osweiler, just in case? It may be the same playbook but he will be much different from Manning.

Weird things can happen, and all the early money being on the Panthers scares me...

 

But yeah, unless Peyton shoots up a fresh batch of HGH it's hard to imagine him beating us with his arm.
