Josh Norman is on the attack...

Any of you ever check out Boomer's radio show? There's a TV broadcast of it on one of the sports networks during the day. I caught it on one of my days off, and this dude seems like he could really give to fugs about Football unless he's forced to talk about it. He'd rather talk about the NY Rangers.

Josh's edge is part of what makes him so good.  We kind of saw him without it in the ATL game.  No bueno.

I think Josh should cover Thomas without a doubt.  Daniels won't be getting much over the middle with our LB corps and Sanders will probably be thrown at a ton so we'll have to keep that in mind.

Who do you guys think is the better match up for Norman - Sanders or Thomas? Or does Norman not usually shadow a receiver and stay to one side?

Thomas has played poorly in the 2nd half of the season and has had numerous drops. If your defense can contain Sanders, they will have trouble putting up more than 10-14 points.

I think if our secondary plays the way it did against the Cards along with our backers and d-line then Peyton won't complete a single pass past 5 yards and none of it will matter. Won't be able to run against us.

Throw that idiot Cris Carter in there too, he was the only one on the ESPN pre-game show that picked the Cardinals.  They were predicting scores at the end of the show.  One guy (don't know who he was) made the prediction 34-13 Panthers.  The rest of them looked at him like he crazy.  His prediction was actually came the closest to the final score.

Good point. Arizona has a better receiving corps and their QB has played better than Peyton all year. I struggle to see how Denver puts up more than 14 points on offense. Especially when you consider that Peyton is likely to throw a drive ending, and back breaking, pick 6 at some point (as he has in every SB he has been in.)

Think Norman likely could stay home on one side this game.  If you ask Norman to follow someone it forces McClain to constantly switch sides.  I think Carolina would prefer to let McClain stay at a spot and be comfortable with help.  Our LBs will help with S on the short and intermediate routes.

I think Carolina will be fine if Peyton attempts to attack vertically.  Think they welcome that gamble.  Probably wouldn't as much vertically with Brock

Norman eats WRs like Thomas for breakfast. I just cannot see any way Denver is able to score enough points to keep it close. They better pray that their defense has an all time great performance.

Norman is the kind of guy that can easily intimidate Thomas. Remember back in SB48 when Kam Chancellor laid out Thomas early in the game? That set the tone for the rest of the game, and Seattle players even commented about how Denver's WRs were scared of them. Sure, Thomas had a good game statistically, but most of those receptions and yards came in garbage time when the game was already decided.
