Interesting Fact about one Ref for SB50

One of the officials for SB50 will be Field Judge, Boris Cheek. Why does this information matter at all to fans?

If you were wondering what Boris Cheek does(did) while he's not a ref, he teaches at a local high school in Charlotte, Ardrey Kell HS.

How do I know this? Well I go to Ardrey Kell HS and I have seen him in the halls several times before (always wanted to have a class with him).

Who knows? Maybe Boris Cheek (or Mr. Cheek for that matter lol) will give his hometown a few calls in our favor if the game depends on it.

While we are on the topic of interesting facts.

It hasn't been in the media but Roger Goodell was at our NFC championship game. It makes me wonder why he was at our game and not at the AFC game. Anyone have an opinion as to why that might be?

A better team was playing in this one.

    • I don't have that stat available - https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-rookie-receiving-yards-leaders-2024 The number was discussed here and it was normal among *all WR. It just felt more cause a couple of those drops were back breakers. I know one drop he caught 95% of the ball, I think it was the eagles drop.  I think you always look at the whole side, he had a good rookie yardage and TD year with some poorly timed drops. He can improve and he can can slump. Sure he could have played better, same time he could have played much worse too. He was the 32nd player drafted, not some top 5-10 savior. I thought he had good rookie year with ups and downs. Knowing he did so with lack of reps due to injuries and he kept playing with questionable QB play, that looks to me like he can improve his level of play. Not on the stats either, he looked good blocking too, many big gains he was helping with down field blocks.
