Anybody else worried the NFL won't let Peyton lose his last game.

No, but if I go along and assume that there will be some kind of conspiracy in place I think the NFL has WAY more to gain by the Panthers winning and "handing off the baton" to Cam and the Panthers as a whole than by the Broncos winning.

That said, I don't think either will be the case.

Ray Lewis, Jerome Bettis, and (many more I can't think of) got to ride off in the sunset in the Superbowl. I know it's a conspiracy theory, but it's a thought.

for every player that rode off into the sunset ideally...there are 20 who didn't get the storybook ending.

If Peyton throws a 50 yard TD pass to Sanders over Josh Norman to win the game....well, hats off to him.

But this is the year of Cam IMO.  Cam takes the torch IMO at the Super Bowl.

fug Peyton, fug his happy ending, fug a fairy tale, fug retirement, fug his noodle arm, fug their defense, fug the nfl, fug the refs, fug his epic comeback starts right now.

This is our time, this is our Superbowl.  The Lombardi is coming back to Charlotte.  That. Is. All.

Payton has already won a SB and the Media is not even giving him any credit for this year. The Spin will be the Panthers are the Warriors of the NFL. We will become the New Patriots who everyone hates but keep winning.

As a Pats fan, I can confirm that being the successful villain is very fun.

Enjoy the next 2 weeks, and I hope your team crushes Peyton's hopes and dreams of going out on top!

I don't expect the refs will factor into the game too much.  Before our game started Sunday, Mike Pierra said the penalties were down over 30% in the playoffs.  That is because they want the players to decide the outcome, not the refs.  One of the reasons Manning had some poor playoff performances in Indy is because the DBs were VERY physical with their receivers and got away with it during the playoffs because the refs try to not have a negative impact on the game with the entire world watching.  If I were Rivera, I test the limits on how physical they're going to let our DB's be at the line of scrimmage and make Manning hold the ball longer than he would like.

I'll say the same thing that I say for every single one of these dumbass threads.

If you really think that the NFL is some WWE style illuminati conspiracy, you're dumb for watching and caring period.

I agree with you in principle on the whole conspiracy theory.  However, it would NOT surprise me that any questionable call would go the Broncos way.
