Potential Hall of Famers currently on the roster

Ryan Kalil, Greg Olsen, Cam Newton, Jared Allen, Luke Kuechly.

Those are the only current names that I think are in consideration. I love Thomas Davis but he's more of a Panthers ring of honor guy, not a PFHOF. I think Luke and Ryan have the best chances. Luke is legit an amazing generational talent that will be first ballot if he keeps his play up. Ryan has been a top tier center for nearly a decade now.

Yep. And it's way too early to know for all of them except for Jared Allen who's had a sensational career overall, think he's the active sack leader.

With Greg Olsen I think he can become a hall of famer but he has a long road ahead of him (even though he's 30 now). He just so happens to be playing football in an era where the sensational Tony Gonzoles retired during Greg's career, you have guys like Jason Witten, Gronkowski, and Antonio Gates who are all and have been overshadowing Greg . Greg would have to end up playing into his late 30s (37-39) and keep posting 1000 yard or close to it seasons , and it would really help his case if we end up winning multiple Super Bowls that help him get out of Gronks shadow and get more attention and recognition.

Luke is already amazing , probably been the best Linebacker in the NFL for the last 2 or 3 years and he's only 24. He'll be automatic hall of famer most likely if he stays healthy . Doesn't even really have to play that long either because he has had so much success so early in his career he could stop at 29 or 30 and still get in if his performance doesn't dip.

Even if Cam wins the Super Bowl in reality what he would have is a record breaking rookie season and a hell of a 5th year campaign. That's great but no way is it enough on its on to get into HOF. If he manages to continue his success for a good while and especially if he wins multiple SBs then he'll be well on his way. Also very important is how good he will be as Cam gets older , he's likely to have to stop running so much and hopefully he can stay healthy .

Don't know if there's anyone else on our team that has the obvious projections to be in the HOF.  Short has had a great year but its just 1 year so far.

As for previous Panthers, Steve Smith should most certainly be HOF and he's not even retired yet. He is currently #11 all time in total receiving yards and that's after many years playing on a very run oriented Panthers team and playing DBs much taller and heavier than him. 1 more 1000 yard season puts him into the top 10 in all time recieving yards and 2 more 1000 yard seasons plus a few yards will put him above Terel Owens for #2 Receiving yards all time .

Truly, the Hall of Fame is so incredibly hard to get into. 46 people -- a sportswriter representing each of the 32 teams, a rep for the Pro Football Writers of America, and 13 at-large delegates. (Darin Gantt is Carolina's rep on the board, and the at large committee includes folks like: SI's Peter King, ESPN's John Clayton, and Jarrett Bell of USA Today.)

While there is no official cap on the number of enshrinees each year, there is an unwritten rule that eight is the maximum for a year, with four to five enshrinees being most common. Enshrinees must have 80 percent approval from the board to go into the Hall.

This makes it really, really tough to get in. Some folks leave no doubt -- Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Barry Sanders. Others take forever to get in, with some having to wait for the Senior Selection Committee to bring them up, lest they be forgotten. Some just linger at the edge, never getting in but frequently being talked about like Ken Stabler and Kevin Green, each year maybe making it.

Still, a good story, a great player makes it in unexpectedly and when they tell the tale, everyone goes... oh yeah, he was something, wasn't he. And that's why I think Thomas Davis will make it in, eventually. He's got the story and he is a great player.

Allen, Luke, Cam are the only for sure ones. Hard to see Luke and Cam drop off, baring major injury of course. No brainer if we iin this SB and keeps making playoffs.

Olsen will only get in with rings and/or being a core player playing to old age like Witten (his idol).

Kallil needs rings and/or 4-5 years of pro bowl/all pro level play.

No one else. Norman way to late in his career. Short has a shot if he plays like this for the rest of his career. Trai Turner looks special.(Keep an eye on him)

Rivera will make it as a coach/player with a couple of rings. (Especially if Coughlin gets in)

Get the molds made for Cam and Luke.  Gale Sayers only played 7 season and he made it.  Newton and Kuechly are just as dominate.

Jared Allen I think is in too because he was a dominate force for many years. Didn't he win DPOY once?

If Olsen hangs around another year or two he is going to be in that Amazing TE list. Kalil needs one or two more Pro Bowls.

The biggest factor for anyone other than Cam and Luke will be if we can put a couple of Lombardi Trophies in our trophy case.

Only way Davis gets in is if we win a couple of SBs and he racks up some insane number or hits.

I don't think any NFL team has won more than 2 super bowls in a row. If we can somehow win 3, 4, or even 5 in a row then consecutive SB rings makes everyone's chances skyrocket haha. Well hell the Bills made it to 4 super bowls even though they lost them all, that def says its not impossible to play in multiple SB games in  a row. Just highly improbable , considering most teams change too much after winning a SB to do it again the following year(s)  [ex. Free Agents using their super bowl win to go some other team and make more money, Vets finally winning SB retiring, players simply getting older or injured the following season(s)]

I truly believe, barring injury, both Cam and Luke will be not only hall of famers, but legendary. There will definitely be documentaries, ESPN specials for Cam. He's changing the game, and has made a lot of ppl look silly. He's made football fun, and I wouldn't be surprised if this season is a special on ESPN in the future. Allen and Peppers gets in also.

Kalil, Olsen, and Smith have a slim chance. Still too early to tell with Trai & KK.

Dont think there's any chance for JNo or TD. TD gets a statue though, and in my book, regarded as the best Panther. Not only for his work on the field, but all he's gone through with the injuries, and his charity/community work. He embodies Keep Pounding.

Fun to predict this stuff, and look back as the years pass to see who's right, close, etc.
