Own two PSL's since 2002 and did not get selected.   I hear you regarding not spending the kind of money, but I guess for some its relative cause they have the kind of income and money that $6-8k per person is not a big deal... for others that don't and spend it... to each is own :-)     I couldn't do it either, not that kind of $$'s.  That is almost one years tuition for my kid's college next year.

Yeah, I mean, we're doing well enough for ourselves we could do it, but even my incredibly over the top fanatic wife would draw the line there. After all, we're leaving for Mexico Thursday morning not return until right before the game just to take a break from the season and breath a little. And our nearly 2 weeks at a 5-star resort is costing me far less than $12-16k...lol. And I'll take 10 days in Mexico relaxing and looking for retirement real estate over a football game.

Day 2 of Letterwatch.

As the sun set over Greensboro I stood atop the ice covered hill overlooking my mailbox.  The recent storm had delayed even the fiercest of postal workers, creating anticipation in the hearts of those waiting in expectation for that piece of paper.  Today was suppose to be the day.  Yesterday news had poured in from the southern reaches.  Jubilation in the hearts of those who roar.  Within their mailboxes were the rewards we had been waiting 12 long years for: Super Bowl tickets.  I started the treacherous trek down the slick slope.  With every booted step my sweaty palms ignored the frigid temperatures. Was I to strike gold?  Was there word from Charlotte, requesting reinforcement in Santa Clara?  As my hand gripped at the hooked cover of my mailbox I exhaled slowly.  I may have uttered a prayer, but in the moment I knew not what I was doing. Inside I found nothing.  Spam.  Credit card offer.  Bed, Bath and Beyond was yet again offerering me 20% off.  I began the slow, methodical climb back to the top of the drive.  This time the journey seemed slower, perhaps from the heavy heart held within my chest.  With the sun finishing it's journey to the West I turned back around. I stood atop the ice covered hill overlooking my mailbox.  My watch continues.  Day 3 of Letterwatch is upon me.  I await word from the Vault.

FYI,

Danny Morrison said it is a weighted lottery to get SB tickets.  If you have had 2 PSL's for 20 years, you got your name in 40 times for the drawing.  2 PSL's 1 year, got in 2 times.  The longer you have been a PSL holder and the more seats you have, it guarantees you more chances to have your name drawn.

Yeah. I've had 4 PSLs since the beginning. No lottery win.
