So umm, yeah....if anyone decides after they buy the tickets that they can no longer go, I would like a crack at them. Im military and living in Spain,  (not trying to pull the military card, but I will need to run paperwork so last minute wont work and Spain is kinda a long ways away from SF) Congrats to all who receive notices, our family didn't. :(

Mad, you can sell those tickets to me, since I know you need to stay as far away from the liberal bastion of San Francisco as possible. You are welcome.

Thanks Gas......I had not had my daily dose of stupidity this yet morning.  After a post from you, I am good.

Here's the ticket pricing breakdown (true face value):

  1. League office offers 1,000 lottery tickets at $500 ea.
  2. $850 - 1800 for general admission (what PSL owners get)
  3. Up to $3k for club seats.

So, a couple friends of mine, who own 4 PSLs were not selected. They are purchasing a "package," which includes airfare, hotel, a couple parties and game tix. They are budgeting $6-8k per person to go to SF for 2 days as part of this package.

Can I just say, having attended 3 Super Bowls, there is no fugging way I'd spend that kind of cash for a football game. Considering everything I could do with $12-16k of disposable cash.... a football game would not be in my top 10.

Now, for those of you who were selected and are going with a face value ticket in hand- enjoy and have a great time! Please give yourself the additional time to experience the Bay area- one of my favorite places in the entire country. Great restaurants, good people..
